i just put my eee 900 ha into performance mode with she, and then use setfsb, i get it to stable 2.1GHz, which works pretty well. i play wow at like 15 fps in northrend :D accept in dalaran of course.....still get like 2 fps there....
had somehing similar happen with my 900ha as well except the screen didn't go crazy like that. it just turned bright purple. i was forced to do a hard reset. hopefully the guy that developed eeeCTL will fix this bug in a later version.
I have a 900ha coming on monday and want to know if its worth it to try or should i wait for another control app to come out specifically for teh 900ha.
Not yet. I tried a BIOS update and it did nothing. It's possible that some 900HA's use a different clock generator that is incompatible with EeeCTL. I've just about given up on EeeCTL. Hopefully someone can share their knowledge and time by creating a new one.
Reboot. Just make sure you don't have EeeCTL set to save your last state AND have it set to run on start up. If you do both, you will just go into a loop of freezing and restarting. Only way to stop it is to boot in safe mode and then remove it from startup.
I've been able to get EeeCTL to work, but you will need to use a much earlier release of EeeClock (0.1.2) which shares no code with EeeCTL. It also doesn't permit backlight brightness customization, pci-express clocking, or fan control. So what I ended up doing in XP was install EeeClock and EeeCTL, and disable all clock-related features in EeeCTL so it doesn't crash. That way I have one program for speed, and another for fan and backlight settings. It's working fine so far.
Well I can't be sure, cuz I dont use EeeCtl, but I believe that the app was made for the original Eee PC, that one used the Celeron M processor, the 900HA uses the Intel Atom processor, so that might be why ts not working
That's what I figured at first, but there are other 900HA owners that report EeeCTL is working just fine for them. But when I use their exact same .ini settings, I can't change the CPU speed without getting a brilliant display of colors (and a frozen Eee).
Change Core.Save = Fan; Speed; to Core.Save = Fan; Backlight;

The way I fixed this, is put the set.StepDelay thing up to 2000. Works fine for me after that.
Give it a try and lemme know if it works :)

Sadly, no. But it's worth a try. There are some 900HA users that have reported it works.

did you get this working yet?

How do you get it back? (Normal)? Just reboot it?

This happens on mine too. Its so annoying, I wanna OC my EEE!!!

What BIOS version are you running? Mine is 0203.

speedy, since the eeectl works on some and not others, is it that newer ones work and older ones dont, or vice versa?
I have a 900ha being delivered on 1/12/09 and im keeping my fingers crossed that eeectl works on the newer ones.
Eeeuser away. ;)

Mines a newer one and it doesn't work. I have no idea what causes them to not work...
