I don't remember where I read it but I know JKR said that their relationship could've gone the romantic route. All the vital elements were there. For what ever reason she went the other way. Regardless of its form, the evidence of their deep and abiding love for one another abounds. We all should be so blessed to have a friend like Hermione was to Harry and vice versa. I am such a R/Hr girl, and I only say that because I just want you to know that you had me basically on the verge of tears with this.
