Conan O'Brien said that all the comedians of his generation wanted to be David Letterman...it's obvious those guys (Farley included) worshipped Dave. No one wanted to be Leno.
Like they said he was giving 3 shows at once. One for Letterman, one for the people back stage and one for those in the audience. I'm a huge Sandler fan but i do respect him for referencing Farley in many of his movies I think far more comedies and friends should remember him more often in their work. Wish they would release his work on Shrek
this makes me happy and sad at the same time. he was so funny, such a terrible loss. i just watch this and see how he reminisces about his mom and dad so much, so think how his parents feel, its sad. He was THE BEST!
How much of his "act" do yall think was an act. I think the reason i liked him so much as it just looked like he was just being who he was...and it was funny.
@lyndsaystratton Yes, amazing that with just 4 words in a different character voice he had Letterman howling with laughter. Chris... you are dearly missed!
i was thinkin the same thing but its almost really besides the point because of how funny he is. also im not positive hes on coke but hes def. on something and it isnt weed.
Dear God I wish I could go back to 1995 for just one saturday night and relive sitting in front of the tube television with my family watching this amazing talented man make the whole world laugh one skit at a time....
a truly funny guy...humor is a great gift...wish he were still around making fun in life

i like how everyone here thinks they have a personal experience with coke and that they are some kind of ex addict
no one thinks your cool, just enjoy this comedic genius and take your heads out of your asses(to the people who commented on cocaine)

the public school story was the funniest Farley moment for me

You can see on Farley's face how much he looked up to Letterman, and how important it was to him to make Dave laugh...mission accomplished!

At 3:18 he snorts like if he's still feeling the coke. And at 3:26 he has a twitch like if he took too much.

Poor Chris, he clearly had parents who were not good to him when he was young. He's the nicest guy.

That's why they have DVDs of SNL. You can't go back to 1995 but you can sure watch it with your family.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen Letterman laugh so hard during an interview...God, Farley was one of the greats...
DiamondDogg44 3 years ago 54
That's exactly what I was thinking. This is up there with Robin Williams and Jim Carey.
bobolob 2 years ago
@DiamondDogg44 I noticed that as well. Letterman was splittin his sides!
