  • Can you record part of See Emily Play by The Pink Floyd for me? i would really apretiate it!

  • It sounds so authentic and old!

  • not bad for CD quality :P

  • That is amazing sound from your Wilcox-Gay machine. Your first video exp0lained it very well.

But, why didn't you show it playing back in this video? I like watching it.

Interesting, CDs were supposed to replace records. Well, you sure proved that idea wrong!

Turnabout is fair play, right? Now, if you could just make a re-writable CD record!

  • This Is so neet! I`ve Made My own records (78) By using a Reproducer I Made out of a old loud speaker, and phonogeaph soundbox with fair results. I have cut disc out of smooth but slightly hard plastic you can get at some Hobby Lobby`s or t some hardware stores. I Wish I had one of these machines like you have, I Used a old doctaphone screw drive to cut the groovs on my records. Hopefully one day I`ll Improve on my unit, and I`ll post the recording as soon as I do.

  • Thank You. I am also doing some test recording with my gramophone. I have a portable HMV 101 and I have two speakers that fit perfectly in the enternal horn. It carries bass perfectly but I have a bit of trouble with my higher frequencies. How do the highs come with your set up? Also, I have to move the arm free-hand(which is very frustrating). The machine I used in this cut is on the fritz and I would like to get a bit more professional one. Nice to meet another person with the same obsession:)

  • How neet , your using your gramophone as a recorder , When I was 15 years old I made a gramophone using junk parts, none of witch belonged to any phonograph. ie, The horn is made out of a spittoon bell and roofing flashing, the motor is made of all sorts of parts, gears, ext, I have tryed to use it as a recorder with limeted sucsuss.(Try Using A Loud Speaker For The Highs) Hand Driving Is Pert Nere Impossable!!! My Electric version seems to reverberate! Witch is NOT what I want.

  • very good

    Thanks Richard UK

  • Thank You
