@IMACOOLBOY12 On your nav display there is like a little green circle with the letters T/D. Thats the top of descent and once you reach it the FMC will handle the descent.

@IMACOOLBOY12 Yes, I usually set up the Altitude to 10K before I reach it. Then, if you are doing an ILS when it reaches 10K put in the altitude where you will intercept the localizer then you just autoland. Hope that helps! :)

I have the Fs9 version. The autopilot is not working as it should so I can bank. When I loaded the aircraft the engines where already on. I did get it off the ground and flying. I just need help getting the autopilot to work correctly. Can you tell me the procedure?

@natofsx8 I found the problem. I have to move the switches to Nav and be in the air to activate the autopilot. This tutorial really helped in understanding all those switches. Thanks

Please man, If I select Altitude Hold, it simply keeps climbing, and if I change the vertical speed it simply doesn´t do anything! Please answer cause you are a pro at this plane.

Is it possible to use VNAV all the way until you are estabilished on the localizer? Its not like i cant land using the vertical speed manually but since all my other addons descend automatically for me i find it quite irritating...

Hey i have a question i took off fine but my aircraft when i turn the auto pilot on it heads in the right direction and stuff but it doesnt fly smoothly, it tilts left to right and the airplane doesnt control the vertical speed

@The12rspc I'll try to do this in one comment. You get sids/stars along default with the FMC. As far as getting more sids/stars as they dont all come with the pack, you can go to NavigraphDOTcom. Lnav is Lateral Navigation. Hit this button and it will follow your rout that you entered into your FMC. VNAV is Virtical Navigation. It works with the auto-throtle and virtical speed based on the cost index you put into your FMC. In other words it will climb and control your speed for you.

@kluetenkloeter This is fs2004, but you can get the same payware aircraft for fsX, it's about $35 I think. Fs2004 is like 10gigs.

ohh but see like you said earlier thats the problem with FSX b/c the tower will usually tell you which runway to land at so thats why personally i wouldnt do an approach route just incase the tower assignes you a different runway

No, you choose your approach procedure even when you're doing a manual landing.

Usually ATC vectors plane through STARS I believe. The problem with FS's ATC is that it doesn't handle STARS or SIDS. No, you have to change the altitude and descent rate on the MCP for the plane to descend.

Yes, you can choose to download it directly. Get the pro pack otherwise the FMC won't be working correctly and there'll be no GPWS. Yes, they do have the delta paint.

I use fs2004. It takes a much less powerful to get it running. Unless you have a super computer, I'd recommend fs2004, especially if you're using addons.
