couldnt shift fast at the time, 8k rpms plus o2j 5 speed = hate life. The car was upgraded with an 02m 6 speed couple weeks later and became a whole nother animal.

It only had a programmer at that time. Faster than 14.0 with a programmer only is not possible here. D/A right now is 4700 ft because of the 110 degree weather.

I do. Powerstrokes are heavy as shit and my neighbor's '06 Cummins ran 14.0 with only a programmer in Phoenix, AZ where Lightnings in stock form run 15.0.

I have never heard of a lightning running a 15 sec quater. The slowest i know of is a 14.1.

Heat and altitude make a big difference. There was 2 350Zs, an SRT4, a Caliber SRT4, a Lightning, and a '95 Z28 LT1 6 speed there that night. They were all doing between 15.0 and 15.5 @ 93-96 mph. The modded SRT8 300 was doing 14.3 @ 99. Density altitude was just shy of 5000 ft, 108 degrees.

Most diesels add about 100-150HP with just a tuner..

The Smarty my neighbor has will add 230 hp and double that in torque on level 9 with the most updated software. On his 14.0 run, I believe it was on level 7 of the old software (+170 hp).
