  • God bless them , and I respect everyone of them with the deepest regard, but they are quite old,and you know some of them were thinking why are we clapping where is the pudding.

  • i love this show my grandpa was in normandy and that all i know cuz he dont talk about war mush about it and i love him and respest that.

  • Has been nominated for 19 emmy awards....Should Of got them all

  • When I saw everyone stand up and give those great men a standing ovation I was over come. I rekindled a little hope I had for our generation, that even though that ceremony was about actors and screenplay, all those people stood up, clapped and honored those great heros and the sacrifices they made so many years ago..

  • Everytime Major D. Winters opens his mouth. Both on this video and in the miniseries, he always say something so great! He is, in my opinion the proof of a real soldier, the proof of a real human! It is just like he said in the ending of the miniseries, he refused to call himself a hero "but I served in a company of heroes"! There are no president, king or queen in the world that makes more sence than him! May he rest in peace!

  • that band of brothers theme... gets me every time :'(

  • everytime i watch this i get goose bumps and tears in my eyes these men were true heroes

  • Rest In Peace Major Richard Dick Winters...

  • What's happening to my eyes? I can't see the scree anymore..

  • Dick Winters died on Jan 2, 2011

    RIP

  • The reason there was such a long applause is because those are the only men who can humble the crooked neck Hollywood sociopaths.

  • Mjr Winters.

A man of steel, and a man of great humanity when it counted. A very rare breed.

    RIP Major.

  • My god... What a incredibly hero!

  • Man, when he said "I salute you" I just got goose bumps. What a hero. So sad that he passed away this year.

  • Wow. I wish this could have qualified for the best drama series category, because I consider it one of the best TV series period. So glad Mr. Winters and the surviving members of Easy Company were there for the win. What an emotional acceptance speech.

  • They won it so well that they made 99% of them watch from a hotel. FU HOLLYWOOD!

  • @edemardil They will feel more at home between themselves than these " movie stars " assholes.

  • HOW THE FUCK CAN ANYONE DISLIKE THIS !!???? These men are true fucking hero's !! Whoever dislikes this is a nazi mother fucker !!

  • thats a fricking shame they should be in the front rows not in some back room!!!!

  • is jsut incredible see the real mans of easy company there

  • hey youtube, where is the +1 button?

  • I... I.. I am not... ahhh Yes im crying!

  • There Heroes look uncomfortable being surrounded by Fake Hollywood people and culture. Major Winters and his men of Easy Company demand more respect than ALL Hollywood actors and directors and movies combined.

Actors and movies are fake. But these War veterans are REAL. What they went through will never be understood or comprehended by anyone of us who wasn't there.

  • Ok... who the hell is cutting onions in here

  • How can there be any dislikes. These Men are HEROS!!!

  • @RetArmyMan03 probably 10 nazi zombies

  • @RetArmyMan03 those dislikes are probably axis fuckers

  • If I could be even half the men these guys were and are. I'll be very happy with my life.

  • Easy Company, the real heroes!

  • Half the fucking room doesn't even stand up......

  • 'From this day, to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We lucky few, we band of brothers.' Lipton citating Henry V.

  • Band of Brothers and the Pacific will always be the best miniseries and war movie to ever exist!

  • Who the fuck could dislike this??? ...must be 10 Nazis

  • RIP Major Winters. If there were more men like him among us, the world would be a much better place.

  • God, this still makes me sob like a child.

  • An auditorium full of fake heroes, yet the only real hero is the least famous.

  • Es muy emocionante.....It's very exciting

  • Cried during Major Richard "Dick" Winters Speech :( RIP Band of Brother

  • When one of Americas greatest heroes from the era of world war 2 says "i salute you" it means more that most will ever know. Us older soldiers from any branch of the military will take pride.

  • @Francauvergnat ur the first french that i respect

  • When I watched Band of Brothers, I was like fuck yeah they kick ass! But I could never really process the fact that all those battle scenes REALLY happened (more or less), and that it wasn't just a concoction of hollywood. There were real men who really kicked ass. It's still astonishing, over half a century later.

  • No doubt, one of the best stories I ever read! To think someone can go through such hell and still remain sane , deserves utmost respect!...

  • 9 people are SS Survivors

  • @mak34237 my grandpa!

  • I wish there were more officers like Major Winters, If I could have after reading and seeing what this man had done for his country and brothers in arms. I would have awarded every medal for gallantry and valor I could find, then given him back his unit. were he belonged rather than stick him behind a desk! I salute you Major! R.I.P.

  • Was that Conan at the very end

  • I have more respect for Major Winters and the men who fought this war, and every other war, than any other person on this earth. What these people went through is unimaginable and would strike fear in the strongest of humans. God Bless every person who has served and died for this wonderful country of ours. May you rest in peace, Major Winters.

  • I may not be a soldier but I feel like I need to salute Maj. Winters before I pass on. As not just a wish but a patriotic duty to show my never dying gratitude for what Maj. Winters and Easy Company did.

  • unfortunately in Brazil we forget our heroes. If you can look for a video called the man who tricked Hitler. hugs and wish my country learn to value our heroes as Americans.

  • The standing applause brought tears to my eyes.

  • @alldelicious Yeah, Winters had some really powerful words.

  • Here's to you Winters!

  • how can someone dislike this? thats terrible

  • Before I die I'm going to visit Major Winters' grave and salute it.

  • The other day i heard in a documentary that hitler after conquer europe was planning to invade america trough Brasil. This made me realize that if that had happened we all would be slaved and we wouldn´t have this life we have right now.Thank you veterans for that big sacrifice you made for the new generations could have freedom. God bless you and saves a big pieces of heaven for you.

  • not gonna lie i teared up when the audience stood and applauded.

  • @DatPicksburghGuy Me as well. The bravery and sacrifice of the men of Easy Company and all who fought in WWII to liberate the world is immeasurable. We owe them everything.

  • Wow - to think of what these guys did and went through...amazing. Nowadays we have kids looking up to gangsta rappers, who ride in limos and make millions acting baddazz, when they are pussies.

  • RIP Major Winters, your legacy shall not be forgotten ... I salute you sir

  • The most amazing thing about this video is how for the first time in history EVERYONE in this auditorium is absolutely quiet. I always hear a cough or a laugh or a talking...but when Dick is talking...nothing.

  • Major Dick Winters passed away Jan. 2 in central Pennsylvania. If you've read Stephen Ambrose's book or watched the HBO miniseries, you'll likely already have mental pictures of Winters' acts of heroism during harsh fighting in Europe during the Second World War.

  • RIP WInters

  • CURRAHEE, Thank you to all of these men, it was my priveledge (sp) and honor to wear the uniform, I was only able to do so due to what we now know, was The Greatest Generation.

  • @MrBrisbaneman1994 yeah ,its a shame, my neighbour served in Africa and New Guinea! Great Man
