  • OK it's time to set the napster generation straight. Live shows are usually a financial loss for artists. We make money selling recordings. If music is continually free, smaller acts will just give up because of a broken van, starvation or other common causes. Fake plastic shit music will continue to be manufactured in Hollywood. Watch the disney channel, see those kids dancing and singing? Thats who you will be listening to on the radio when they grow up. Talent is manufactured not sought out.

  • It's all totally ridiculous anyway. They are all upset if you download a song. But yet almost every piece of music is on youtube for you to listen too. And no one is complaining about that. Or how about books, they are all upset if you download them. but you can go check them out at your library and read them free. Movies and TV shows, on the other hand. I can see there is a point to being upset about that.

  • Musicians made money for decades before the internet was popular. People still buy CDs, and often now from the internet. Record companies are greedy fucks.

  • if downloading didn't exist, i wouldn't have most of the cool songs, movies, games i found on youtube, utorrent.

if i had to buy it, i would spend LOTS of money, when i can actually download, a fine movie, with a good HD.

  • ok seriously ur stupid go jump off a buliding for being so ignorant... i hate when people say "oh the artist makes plenty of money" or "the artist is greedy" illegal downloading doesnt affect just the artist there is a lot of people that help with the production of music ie. producers, recoding engineers, mastering engineers, publicists etc. what about them do they make money off of merch or concerts no! thats why its illegal because its not just about the artist it goes much deeper than that!

  • @rnunez58 When your downloading a song your not making anybody lose money, because its not even physical so there's no way that they lose money, second the people that are helping make the music aren;t losing any money and when i say that im talking about the "normal" people who are there to assist, etc, because they are on a pay roll. THE THIS IS WHAT PISSED ME OFF! WHY CAN;T PEOPLE SHARE WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT?! doesn't the us have "rights"?and i quoted that for a reason.

  • @TheCompGame its one thing to burn a cd for a buddy but putting it up on a website is different... it was reported in 2007 that 7.8million people download illegally so if those people download 1000 each (which im sure some of them have downloaded a couple thousand song) and the average itune song is $1 then the music industry loses 7.8billion dollars! so ya those engineers and assistants are on a payroll but they wont be for much longer if they lose anymore money! illegal download=death of music

  • @rnunez58 The reason those 7.8mil(i guessing there were more) people "pirated" was because of the insane prices....lets say that each person did download 1k songs, that mean if they bought them then they would have to pay around a thousand dollars, people don't have that kind of money to throw away. Music is already dead, people think saying random crap and putting a beat behind it is music...If i would have bought every single thing(Software, music, movies, etc) then id be broke out of my ass!!!

  • @rnunez58 Also there's a change now...its not the same old, there's the internet! They just don't realize the ways they could make money off of it. Mostly everyone now a days has used it or uses it.

  • @TheCompGame dude not even gonna argue anymore obviously ur young and immature and you dont understand how things work... you can always get what u want u gotta know the difference btwn needs and wants... also there is no way for musicians to make money of the internet...and do more research on the effects of illegal downloading...like i said it goes deeper than u think

  • @rnunez58 I have done research...I actually did a project on this.

  • 0:59 MY ASS!!! and what happens to the songs that you DONT LIKE? hmm

  • @EatReviewSleep then i don't buy it....Simple.

And anyways you don't even have to buy it, its just "respecting" the person who created it.

Because when you download something your not making the person lose any money at all, yes they don't make any profit off you and they don't get to spoil there self with your hard earned money.

  • @TheCompGame exactly im legal unlike others. i bet your jailbroken too

  • @EatReviewSleep jailbreaking is legal...and ye my i did jailbreak my ipod

  • @EatReviewSleep i don't understand exactly why your against piracy, explain.

I did a project on piracy and from all the research iv done it seems fair to me...

  • @TheCompGame because its PIRACY i support companies by buying theri stuff

  • @EatReviewSleep Lets say you have cable in your house and 5 people live in your house and each one watches tv then shouldn't you be paying 5x the amount because of "copyrights" or shouldn't you buy 5 microwaves instead of 1 because then your "pirating" aka sharing, i can keep going on but i hope you get the point.

  • @TheCompGame well... how did i get cable?.. $

  • @EatReviewSleep my point...how did the person who uploaded the music or movie get it? $ then they shared it but the companies want $ from everyone.

  • it only takes 3 seconds to get high. And its illegal. What does time have to do with anything?

  • @Kerpaltheballer How long does it take to get the drug?

  • @TheCompGame about the same time as it does to go to the store and rip the cd you are downloading.
