Itachi makes you forget ocohimaru is a legendary sannin. If the whole uchiha killing thing never happen itachi would be hokage. He is well better than tsuande and she I read the recent chapthers.
I keep thinking that Orochimaru engaged Itachi all wrong. Orochimaru should have first done the resurrection jutsu, resurrect 2 or 3 really strong shinobi, THEN go after Itachi.

@grumpster69 It's really a close call. I think itachi would be able to beat him "like nothing" in a one on one battle, but the problem is that pain has multiple paths. I will say it before and I will say it again, even if itachi's genjutsu did work, he would only be able to target one, plus the eyesight of all the paths are connected. Breaking out of the genjutsu would prove easy. Most of itachi's skills are meant for one on one battles, and this is why he would lose.
@Akshayphadke Itachi has never fought pein in the anime, nor the manga, (besides the battle they had after edo tensei) so I am assuming that what you are talking about is either fan based, or biased. I youtubed it, and all I could find was a fake manga entry made by a fan (which was honestly pretty well made) but there is no official fight as of yet. For now, itachi has not owned pein in any way.
@DimLordUrza itachi's strength lies in his susanoo. tsukyomi and amaterasu does not work on S-class ninja or kage level ninja. it didnt even work vs gaara. his susanoo has the 2 legendary spirit items the sword of totsuka ( anything it pierces is sealed and trapped in eternal genjutsu ) and the mirror of yata or something that repels everything. even in the manga they mention pein revived is stronger than before because he can use all his abilities at once and itachi did most of the damage

Even though pein was stronger then before, he is still only one person. I think we can all agree itachi's weakness would be fighting multiple people at once, and I really have no idea which one would win in a true 6 paths vs itachi battle.

or amaterasu dosent work on kage level ninjas. like raikage danzo gaara. its all about the susanoo.
@da1stlangzai The point I am trying to make is, we all know that susanoo is a lethal weapon. It can pretty much kill or seal about anything it touches, and it doesn't matter how strong you are. For this reason, having the strength divided among the paths would be better since the susanoo would have a harder time going for all of them. We also can assume that susanoo takes a huge deal of chakra from the user, so it wouldn't last the entire time. Stalling would give pein the advantage.

@StardustLord50 That was all a facade. SPOLIER if you didnt read the manga yet. Itachi states that he doesn't want anyone knowing about the Uchiha incident so that they can still keep their Reputation. He still cares/cared for the Uchiha clan, and he left Sasuke to rebuild it. He wanted Sasuke to believe the Clan was still an amazing one that still has great potential to be a big figure. Everything he said to Sasuke about the clan is just an Act.

@grumpster69 It's really a close call. I think itachi would be able to beat him "like nothing" in a one on one battle, but the problem is that pain has multiple paths. I will say it before and I will say it again, even if itachi's genjutsu did work, he would only be able to target one, plus the eyesight of all the paths are connected. Breaking out of the genjutsu would prove easy. Most of itachi's skills are meant for one on one battles, and this is why he would lose.

@Akshayphadke Itachi has never fought pein in the anime, nor the manga, (besides the battle they had after edo tensei) so I am assuming that what you are talking about is either fan based, or biased. I youtubed it, and all I could find was a fake manga entry made by a fan (which was honestly pretty well made) but there is no official fight as of yet. For now, itachi has not owned pein in any way.

@DimLordUrza itachi's strength lies in his susanoo. tsukyomi and amaterasu does not work on S-class ninja or kage level ninja. it didnt even work vs gaara. his susanoo has the 2 legendary spirit items the sword of totsuka ( anything it pierces is sealed and trapped in eternal genjutsu ) and the mirror of yata or something that repels everything. even in the manga they mention pein revived is stronger than before because he can use all his abilities at once and itachi did most of the damage

@da1stlangzai Even so, when pein was revived he was still only one person. As I said before, Itachi can just about own most shinobi in a one on one battle. Even though pein was stronger then before, he is still only one person. I think we can all agree itachi's weakness would be fighting multiple people at once, and I really have no idea which one would win in a true 6 paths vs itachi battle.

@DimLordUrza why would it matter if it was 6 peins with his strength split in 6 bodies or 1 pein whos able to use all his paths at once. if anything it should be harder since u cant isolate one pein and kill that path. ud have to kill all 6 at once which is probably something 99% of shinobi cant do. and tsukyomi or genjutsu wouldnt matter. tsukyomi
or amaterasu dosent work on kage level ninjas. like raikage danzo gaara. its all about the susanoo.

@da1stlangzai The point I am trying to make is, we all know that susanoo is a lethal weapon. It can pretty much kill or seal about anything it touches, and it doesn't matter how strong you are. For this reason, having the strength divided among the paths would be better since the susanoo would have a harder time going for all of them. We also can assume that susanoo takes a huge deal of chakra from the user, so it wouldn't last the entire time. Stalling would give pein the advantage.
