@8hondamandan8 That will work. I normally use self-tapping tek screws with rubber & metal vulcanized washers and screw them directly to the rack. Either way put a liberal amount of goop on the top and bottom of the penetrations on the screws. Cut off all off the handles other the main latch otherwise they will rattle loudly.
No and hell no. The 850XP has had some major problems since it was released. The 800 Outty has more hp and is way more durable than either the Thundercat or the 850XP. The Brute is a good bike if you don't mind changing the front and rear engine seals every other ride.
haha just asking.. well the 850 xps are american made .. :) and what do you mean that you have to change the front and the rear engine seals every other ride??
If you ride deep mud and water on a brute, the front and rear seals where the driveshafts go into the engine casing have a bad tendency to leak water into the drive casing and the engine oil. On a Brute, like a Honda, the engine and tranny are in one unit. On a Can Am the tranny is separate from the engine. The driveshafts on a Brute are actually collapsible spring loaded so they are easy to remove. I don't know why Kawasaki doesn't fix this. Some people actually carry extra seals with them
American made and assembled in Mexico just like the new Can Ams. I am holding on to my 07 Outty 800. It was the last year actually made and assembled in Canada. They seem to be the toughest models.
hey im gettin a 606 pound bike and im getting all the power mods you can get for it if i get 28 inch tires all around and the rear ones only weigh 27 pounds do you think it will float in the real deep watter
Yeah I talked to Selmo at Triangle about that. I used to run 1.5 gallons each tire on my Foreman. My new Can Am has the gas tank toward the rear of the bike and I haven't had any trouble with it floating on me even with 13 psi in the tires. Haven't had to use water in the tires yet.
Yea. My buddy used to ride a Brute and he had a lot of trouble with the ass end floating on him. I got 29.5 skinnies on my popo and have not had any trouble with floating ether.
I am running 12 wides on my Can Am and I haven't had it float on me yet. But I also have two ammo boxes, 30 lbs of ice & beer and the amp box on the rear rack. Hell, my seat weighs 50 lbs because it is always water logged..lol
does he got a lift kit on his quad with 28" because i am getting a brute in 2 weeks mom get law suit money and i want some mud tires but i want tires that dont snap axles.. and idk what kind to get and imma also need skid plates..
i agree with badboybrute...what the hell does that have to do with a muddin video? and second, maybe you need to take a trip to MS and see how fine the women are here....it will explain why we are number 1!!!!!!
Thanks. We don't make these videos for us, but for everyone else that rides. We just want to show people how much fun can be had riding in our neck of the woods.

Just keep the air pressure down around 5-8 lbs and you should be fine.
mikejohnson73 2 years ago
You can also put about 5 to 10 pounds of water. Some of my friends over at Triangle ATV run water in there tires. Just cant go over about 25 mph.
