He has some points. I have one of these and carry it in a chic Knomo bag. It is Soooo Light and does most of the things that I want it to do. The problem comes when you say want to watch a DVD whilst on a train or plane. Suddenly you have to balance an external drive somewhere, your lap the tray table - anywhere. Not good.

to be honest the absence of the cd/dvd drive is not the big fault. its the fact that there's only one usb and no firewire that sucks the most. in the next upgrade they'll probably make it hold more and be faster and hopefully add one of or both of those ports. after that, it would be a great deal. they should lower the price too. 1799, is a bit much.

Great Job on the video. Most of the things you said were true. The only part that I did not agree with was the hard drive part. Unfortunately, that part is way cool, why? Solid state hard drives. Yes you were wrong. They are indeed way faster than 15,000 rpm drives, and at this time are worth getting. Instant boot up with out spinning one part because it uses flash memory. So don't my SSD's. Where everyone is wrong, the business class do use disc drives a lot. Look up your facts.

a) firewire port is for video makers or for storage, chances are you would need a more powerful comp with a bigger drive disc.

b) wrong, most people wont need a optical disc player because its build for portability, and memory cards are much better.

c) it might be expensive, but yet it looks so strong and well built. and its an innovative product, why are you bitching on it? personally it totally reaches my expectations for a new ulta portable laptop spending.
