He and his sister are around 8 months old now... we're switching them from kitten food right after the new year. Still just as crazy and kitten like, but a lot bigger now!

My kitty did that. Of course, it wasn't so high-pitched, since he was full-grown.

He'd also do it if you irritated him while he was eating. So sometimes I'd just sit there and poke him while he was trying to eat so he'd make those garbled little meows. A little mean, but I didn't do it much.

Never heard a cat make that sound while eating my entire life, and every pet I have ever had was a cat, its cute.

We were just as surprised - he's the cutest little guy (still). He still chats, but he doesn't make yummy noises while he's eating anymore (only before now). ;)
