Wow....That's crazy. I wasn't even born then...I can only imagine what it must have been like for my parents...I can see my step-dad running around with his bright red afro and some weird shorts drinking Shasta :P
We're back on TV for the first time since the 80s, check out at sneak peek right here on Y/T at "Heads Up Shasta". Spot will break later this summer.
Ya gotta love a low tech production, when it's done with imagination. And those are the old pull tab, steel cans. If you had saved any of them, they might be worth a few bucks now.
I loved this commercial back then. I loved cherry cola too. I though Shasta was the best soda company, and then they vanished off the Earth. I used to only want to drink Shasta soda. I think the giant Cola conglomerates ran them out of California, that an RC Sports Cola. I loved that one too, and they met an instant death too. It's a Cola conspiracy.
refreshing were the days....when...if they had music...all commercials were different...and they werent all rap....everything is all rap and hip hop......what happened to america? can anyone truly answer that.......can anyone bring america i remember back?.......
Wow, this takes me back...they're all drinking from the classic 1970s soda pop can...with a top and a bottom, welded together at both ends, and a seam...with a pull tab that comes completely off the can...the kind people used to make chains out of...memories!
me and my freinds use shasta as one of our slangs.

Ugh, those things are horrible. Great way for people to slice their feet up at the beach or whatnot.
