right now i have an American Dingo, an American Bulldog and a Jack Russell Terrier.... funny enough the terrier is hell on coons. she isnt much bigger than a coon herself but she's made of iron i swear.... some days i think she would happily take on a grizzly bear at night and still win lol

this dog survived a 2 against 1 fight with two bulldogs and managed to escape with just a bite to her leg. the others were marked up worse than she was.

and SHE was the one who picked the fight!

I hunt alot of hunts also, this dog in this video is a pkc ch., I have a english that is gr nt ch on some of my other videos, she is 16 for 22 in the hunts. My opinion if a dog will get alone in the dark and show you coon consistantly they will win. We all like a slober mouth tree dog though. To me alot of the hard tree dogs that people breed today, thats all they know how 2 do, they seem not have as much tracking ability. Every now and then you find a really nice track driving tree dog around

I had two rocky moutain curs but every one know this a river a huge coon and a dog dont go good together. Now I only have one dog and hes not as good as my other one.

thanks for the comments, I like reading about peoples opinions about my hounds and coon hunting in general. I enjoy everything about the sport. If you get the chance take a kid coon hunting, coon hunters are a dying breed now that hides don't bring anything and all the activists that think we should hug a tree or something(lol).

It's neat how you can always tell your dogs bark aprat from any other dog. And how their locates trails and strikes all sound different. I was brought up coon huntin and I love it even though I'm not quite 14 and a girl at that. lol We just lost the best kill dog I've ever seen but she had a good long life and loved every second of it. =) She was a saddle back too.

this is a buddies dog, his voice carries pretty good. We heard him over a mile away the other night and didn't hear another dog.

I think it may be just the tone of his voice
