this made me cry :( I adopted out a little collie pup I was fostering in September called Maia, she stole my heart but I new she had to go to a home where she could get one on one attention all of the time.
It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, I have no idea who she is getting on now, the family have never contacted us since :( after telling us they would.
There isn't a day that go's by where I don't think about my beautiful Maia :( </3
Today I adopted out one my fosters and watched your video and I could not have said it any better. It is a bitter sweet job. You love them so and you know you found the very best home for them and even so it is hard to let them go. The next one will come along and will steal your heart again. We do it for them.
This video just went into my favorites. Thanks for posting. I have fostered constantly for nearly two years now. It is so rewarding although sad at the same time. The saddest moment I had while fostering is when I was dropping off a female labrador named Suki to her new home. As I walked away from her new home I could hear her yowling and scratching at their door to get to me. It's as if she was trying to tell me I had forgotten her. ='(
I started fostering dogs after my older dog passed away last year. (See my video- Shayna's Season's in the Sun.) Even though I still had my puppy, I just wanted/needed to take care of more dogs. Since then, I've fostered, Shannon, who left when she got adopted and Raye, who moved to another foster home due to her and my puppy not being able to coexist. Hopefully, we will be fostering again soon. They will always have a special place in my heart and they will always be "my dog", also.
if it was'nt for fosterers, most of the cats and dogs would be dead. They're the guardian angels of the animal world and i cant sing their praises enough.Thankyou for the wonderful work you do.Proud mum of 2 rescued ex-racing greyhounds
Thanks for making this video . I myself have been a foster to dobermans for about a year . I see so many bad things , but when I can help them get well and trust people , it makes it all worth it . Being able to do this has been amazing . Every foster will always be MY dog even when they go on to thei forever homes !
What a beautiful video! One of my basenjis is a rescue, and we are so luck yo have him in our family! Thank you for putting our feelings (all foster parents) to video!
Roxy, this could easily be a video also for those who believe in adoption from the overloaded animal shelters nationwide- great video- need kleenex near to watch
Most of the dogs in this video have been fostered by people I personally know. Some were even fostered by me. For those out there that rescue, foster, adopt, spay/neuter, love, cherish and treasure the abandoned, abused and sickly animals: Thank You.

GREAT VIDEO
i foster dogs too and your right. you save them and find a room into your heart just for them, but aventually its time to go.
but im kinda used to it. my mom taught me to understand that its the best for them and yet again we saved another life.
and open a once colsed door to another helpless soul. I MISS YOU Hunter, Daisy, Benji, Tucker, Mocha and all the other dogs that came to foster.
Keep on fostering,,, sinserally, Dimey89
