i have an angel rasta, which is really really nice. but i got bored of it so i bought a smartparts ephipany as my backup and sometimes i use it when going to my local field. evan thou the ephipany is old all you need to do is change the feedneck, and put a nice virtue. but as long as a gun as potential and is old, dont say it sucks like the ion. you can do lots of things with an ion.

I just got my first gun, the 98 custom and I used it without any modifications and it works pretty good. What modifications would you suggest?

ohhh man the 98 custom. probably the most reliable gun ever made. I suggest a stalk, an aftermarket barrel (apex or flatline) and some sort of barrel shroud to make it look like a real gun. hhehehe

not a 21 inch, its pointless. accuracy max's out at 14" inches. and more and you're just wasting air.

get a compressed air tank. and electronic hopper hopper and a 14 cp barrel. the barrel first, vlocity hopper second, and tank last. barrel makes you more accurate, hopper allows you to shoot without shaking and no chops, and the tank will make your 98 more efficient and accurate.

basically, once youve got a decent mask and a decent hopper, think about a good barrel (dye UL/cp 1 or 2 piece/stiffi(top end)or a j&j ceramic if you dont want to spend too much (no shorter than 12in, no longer than 16in i prefer 14in personally)

then think about upgrading internals, then a double trigger and possibly an e-grip or techT fang trigger if you want to shoot at a decent speed, dont bother about a stock or silly cosmetics if your going for function :)

They're ok, but so far ive heard of nothing but problems with them, so thats why hes calling Epic Fail on Doritos comment. Other wise they are decent hoppers, you just have to replace some kind of spring kit thing, and then they work fine.
