Nice video, I want to come down and ride the dragon and I was looking at cherohala and blue ridge aswell. But after seeing all these cops i dont know if its worth the hassle of stopping all the time or having to watch my back for squids and LEOs.

So what happened to courtesy? When you see someone coming up behind you, as did this guy. Move over and signal them past you. I do it all the time. The guys on wings had plenty of space and time, I doubt that the video gives a good representation of the actual situation. As for the guy that posted this, shame on you, get the hell out of the way. You want to play film director, get your slow ass off the road. I bet he was talking on his cell phone too.

Do the math. If their closing speed each direction where as high as 50 miles per hour (and I doubt it is) and you take the time for the oncoming traffic to pass the sport bike that was passed by the wings, the elapsed time is 4 seconds. That means that the wings missed the oncoming traffic by 586 feet. Nearly 2 football fields. Not even close.

I love this video. It shows that if you aren't doing anything wrong the cops leave you alone. The whole reason for their strong (some might say annoying) presense is because there are soooo many idiots.  Just doing their job and very professional to boot.

Thank you, Paul. I'm studying law enforcement and the biggest gripe I get from friends and family is why is this law the way it is IE: speed limits why are they so low? I enforce the laws, not make them. I'm glad someone around here appreciate the hard work the Law Enforcement Officials do on a daily basis.

I just went three days ago, enjoyed it. Getting into the curves is fun, but not too dang smart on a public road. Truth is, the ride is beautiful, so go for the scenery. If you want to dig grooves in your lane, go to a track. Of course, I work in a hospital where they bring brave (or stupid) people who go too fast. Unfortunately, they bring in the people who are in the other lane also.

This video just goes to show that you can't stereotype anybody. Here we have a guy on a crotch rocket riding like he knows what he is doing and another (idiot) person squidding along endangering himself and others around him (the hotel rider, if you didn't already figure that one out). As for the hotel comment about riding 450,000 miles accident free, he can tell us any mileage he wishes, only he knows the truth. His riding speaks louder: 450K accident free?, possibly yes, probably not.

Sure, squids sometimes go too fast and get hurt. And some cruiser riders don't know how to properly turn a motorcycle, nor how to use both brakes effectively. Both are a danger to themselves and others. If you're going to stereotype, please do so equally.
