This might have been a past Disposal Services Truck. The city of Riverside probaly won a contract to buy the truck from Repuplic. This rapid rail has the same body form as the Repuplic trucks.

Do the other drivers there rev the trucks this much? Or are there any other drivers at all (for as fast as this guy's going) lol jk
One driver told me his truck was the only one in our fleet that could rev because of how it was configured with the PTO and stuff. And he revs pretty good but the arm stays slow :( I'll talk to one of the others and see what happens if they put it in neutral or something, at least worth trying. Probably would only be for one maybe two cycles though. GOT to love that old RR arm though, just eats the new one lol definitely is more agile. Terrific work, this gets to the favs, maybe feature even.
@Trashman242 haha thanks! Yea this truck was crazy fun to watch. Had a few Petes that revved identicle to this guy but the arms would drop down faster than going up. Most guys moderately revved but we used to have a few crazy guys who enjoyed flyin round! And our old volvos, you just had to tap the gas to see the arm fly.... Miss em :(
@3amrepmike3 I was watching some of my more recent footage and somehow EDI found a way to speed up the arms a lot on several of their RRs. It's funny because the drivers still don't need to rev very much yet a lot of the arms FLY nowadays (some do rev, but not quite like this).
Jeeeeez this guy gets that engine revving!!! Just listen to it around 6:26, you were pretty far away too, imagine this truck booming in the early morning :P Loved all the roadside shots, particularly around 1:19 and all of the clip from 7:23. Nice little spin at 3:18 haha Definitely enjoyed watching this footage, nice bright orange truck and a driver going hard at top gun speed... always had that arm extending before he stopped. Also like that suggestion to Scott in your description lol Sweet!

This driver isn't afraid to put his foot down at all! Is this one of the trucks that haves that third pedal? And it's yellow! Sad they are now in the white scheme. And dang the tailgate is really dented.

@JaccobDalton Yea, older arm, they only have the new arm on the truck from around 2009 and up. This is WELL below a 2009. This is a 1990somethin Id guess. And still runnin strong! Dented tailgate likely happend at the transfer station.
Talk about amazing, seems like a truck LA would operate. SO glad Riverside still has some of those yellow trucks. Better than a pure white fleet. And the curve @ 8:23 made my jaw drop. Like something you'd see in a movie :D
@RainbowDisposal They have a handfull of these old diesels still, but this was the only one on route. All the others were in the yard. Yea, I had a blast filming here, we WILL return and when we do, Ill see if you can make it. And on top of it all, the driver is about as chill as they get.

@TheTrashman97 This is how the Volvos I had as a kid used to operate. I miss them soo much. A lot of the zarns had toter wheels, Riverside replaces broken wheels rather than replacing a perfectly fine cart. There currently buying toter again

@mtr82952 Its funny how where you grew up effect your interests. I recently filmed a 310 maxon MSL and didnt really find it too exciting. I cant watch a 6 or more minute manual video in most cases but I love any automation video.
