It's a valiant effort to remake what's already a kickass song. I like it, but I think I'm biased in favor of the Lion version from the animated movie. I will give you this, though, I like the more subdued vocals, if not the substitution of Megatron for the iconic Unicron, the way it was. Granted, it had to fit the movie's story arc, but again, nostalgia makes me want to hear it like this, but with the older version's feel. Good work, all around.

Neither of the Transformers have been up to par with the first one. It was great. Good story, some action but not too much (unlike the sequels,) and it really had that "WOW" factor to it that the other two are missing. Although I suppose part of it can be attributed to the fact that the first was the first time we've seen Transformers that way.

In the first one the theme song is pretty much "What I've Done" by Linkin Park.

So the next two films followed this trend and used "New Divide" then "Iridescent"

After watching all three I conclude that the first one was definitely the best. I liked the third one more than the second but the end seemed so half assed and rushed. I fucking hate the second one. Best movie of all time was the animated one where lion wrote the original version of this song for that movie. Really truly don't see what peoples problem is with this cover. I grew up during the G1 Era of transformers. And have watched every TF series that has come out to date. I'd consider myself an old school die hard TF fan. And even I don't have a problem with this cover I think it kicks ass. Do I think it's better then the original?
