This is an excellent video. The mainstream media seldom reports the dire consequences of having fewer regulations that protect us, or of having an administration that deliberately neglects to enforce those we have. It all goes back to the Republican philosophy of protecting big business interests (including war profiteers and polluters) instead of the general public.
I happen to be lucky enough to live in Vermont where our elected officials are available and responsive to our concerns. To those of you who have internet access and don't pay attention to what the people you voted for are doing with your support or are not using your voice to express your concerns directly to those who can do something about it you are doing your country a disservice.
The Media responsibility to the problem is to promote needs, we need the plasma t.v.,we need the SUV, we need, we need. The kids need designer cloths, cell phones, friends... All this is managed through the media and drilled into our heads, if we don't provide we aren't good people. So we focus all our energy on working to meet the false epitome of success and we fail to focus on those who are stealing our foundations from beneath our feet. If only we would devote 30 min month to Gov issue
Yes, most people are aware of what is happening in the "Hen House", the cancer is the almighty dollar and the MEDIA. I am 44 years old and up until 2 years ago, I was living the all American Cloud, We are so focused on "Living and Surviving" we can't get involved in anything else. Look at our gas prices today, if we aren't already working two jobs, we are looking. Our kids shouldn't know the troubles we face so we continue to keep them involved in activities. Keep the focus off the Government.
Here's what I don't understand I've know all of this for a very long time. And I'm certainly not in a position to have inside information. Just a private citizen that uses his head and keeps an ear to the ground. How is it that Bush & Company have been able to fool so many people? Is the American public that stupid? I'm not saying I'm smarter than the next guy but this information has been out there forever. I blame that current sad state of affairs on those who voted for BUSH, TWICE! DUMB
Thanks to Bush & Co for the past seven years of dismantling regulatory agencies and privatizing government. Government serves a purpose and protecting citizens from harm is primary. We are allowing donors to Bush & Co to destroy our country from within. It has to be stopped. NOW!
