  • when i get one of those i'll turn off my lights and stare at it while listening to skrillex

  • Were did you get all the stuf cause I belive those are pretty hard to find.

  • Why don't you just hook a light bulb to a tesla coil

  • can you please tel me how to make one like that I,ve wanted one for a long time but simply waaay to expensive.

  • @Snoepie97 you dont make them u by them from a asmall nick nack shop they shodnt be much only like $20 i got my dad one for christmas and that i surpose it depands on where u live.

  • CHIDORI!!!!

  • Only if we could harness this into modern weapons like Plasma assault rifles. That would be awesome

  • enemy EMP our electronics are offline

  • I'm not saying that it's fake but I'd believe it more if he moved around the camera

  • the phenomena observed clearly demonstrate the existence of ether...

  • This is real.In the science museum in Boston, they have a ball like this.

  • I'll buy one. Make it green hue, please.

  • god i'm so sick you all you FAKE shouters when you don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. It's assholes like you guys the reason why people are starting to block comments on their uploads.

  • hiiii I’m trying to build one could you tell me how to do it and how much it could cost????????????

  • Nice job bro

  • magical

  • How about an LCD ball o_O

  • Great plasma ball, but i don't think it's home made

  • isnt Krypton gas radioactive.

  • know to take off the glass bowl

  • now i know what i want on my birthday :)))

  • science geek

  • @christianthebest500 Yet you're watching videos on plasma

  • how did u make that? Its awsome

  • i have one, it costs like about 10$ or something... LOL

  • what if you take the glass off does it shoot everywhere and inerate everything?!?!?!!?

  • yes i got eltricutid doing that

  • @PvtDillo no.the gasses that make it work will escape so no

  • I want one of those for Christmas ill ask Santa for one

  • I made one of these when I was 14. Made a few other things like an AM radio, tesla coil and a few others... Aaaaaaah the good ol' days! I remember how under my bed looked ROFL - it was such a mess from all the stripped radios, microwaves and TVs LOL. My poor mother was scared shitless that I would blow the house up.

  • I would be very much interested in buying a homemade globe of you. Toy grade globes are all well and good but this takes it to the next level.

  • It's...it's...it's beautiful *Eyes glitters*

  • HomeMade? Buy department store 60€!

  • Way cooler than my cheap USB plasma ball :P

  • UR DARTH VADER :D

  • wow fk you are the fking emperor lol

  • out of all the globes that you have, this is my #1 favorite. i have some custom made plasma globe videos. check them out. please don't spam my comment

  • they sell smaller globes like this in science of muesem now

  • are you sure those are the right gasses?

  • I change my mind!

  • would a small diameter battery powered one be possible?

  • I remember Plasma balls when i used to be a very young child i was like "OMFG I HAVE SUPER POWERS!

  • rofl u can buy these at a place near my cottage for like... $20.00... and theres one in this place downtown and u put ur hands on it and it will follow ur hands like static :D

  • im 12 now and we have a dairyland about 2 miles from our house and it has had a smaller one of these in it ever since i can remember and it scared the crap out of me everey time i went in there to get a monster and i just found out what it was today, so well all i have to say is i feel really stupid but i just ordered one so now im really happy

  • riighht, ive been youtubing too much again... :P

  • does it need to be plugged

  • PURPLE POWAAAA right?

  • It gives you electric shocks?

  • This is how pokemon were born.

  • why is it called plasma its electricity and neon or a gas like that its not even hot enough to be plasma

  • @roflcoptergoesscisci Plasma is by definition super heated gas caused by a number of means from high voltage electricity to burning wood (fire.) It would be thousands of degrees if it were atmospheric pressure and high resistance gases at high current, but it is none of those things, but it is still hot enough to melt the glass if given enough time. Plasma like in the sun is much hotter from increased pressure and energy from fusion, indeed what is in this ball IS plasma.

  • what exactly is a plasma ?

  • That looks like some kind of Spirit trying to get out of the glass globe, a dark spirit, the spirit of a MONSTERRRR! And you carry it around with you, and when you need to get away from the police, you throw it on the ground infront of you, and it will smash and the electric will pick you as its host and yu will have supa powazz.

  • this can be dangerous for some reason?

  • song name anyone?

  • what does it do

  • You paid thousands for that?

    Was it worth it?

  • Very nice. The ratio of the gasses you used made it look even better Than ones you buy.

  • itz really cool and i have it , its worck as same ,

  • is it just me or does the plasma seem more "liquid" than that of a store bought one?

  • how do yu make it??

  • For a cool effect add a litttle more nitrogen...

  • TESLA COIL !!!!

  • were did you get the gasses for it

  • -500 brain cells

  • how do you make it? please share.. i need it for my physics experiment T.T

  • want it! D: do u plug in into an outlet or do you need one of those special power generator thing? :P

  • how much to make/have one made? i hade one, but it was a pieve of crap and tis is amazing. great job dude!

  • So chaotic! Very beautiful. What would happen if you mixed the gasses in the wrong levels?

  • bad ass!!

  • yeah right

  • can you explain to me what plasma actually is ? :) i know it has soomething to do with the ions of gasses, but thats as far as my knowledge goes ;) ty in advance

  • check out my plasma globe videos and comment, rate, and subscribe

  • ow man make me one please!

  • I'd like to buy it.

  • Actually, I did make it and I still have it too. This globe was made back in 1991.

  • did you make the glass ball

  • @nerodesign000 how do u make one? or can u buy it?

  • @nerodesign000 its not that hard to make it either :P im 15 and i already know how its build up

  • @liloriginalone - Then you'll know that it'll cost you thousands of dollars in custom Pyrex glass & custom electronics, a custom kiln to heat the interior surface before purging with expensive research-grade gases. I'm sure you'll know the importance of the addition of several ingredients that push the electrons in the gas into a higher orbit plus the ideal pulse between frequencies to cause the gas to form structures. Or you could just buy a cheapie of the shelf... though not as pretty.

  • @nerodesign000 nah u can make a thing like this for only some 100 dollars :P

  • @liloriginalone Size is everything when it comes to cost of these things, small is cheap, large gets expensive quickly, the cheapest retail you can find for a 12-inch globe is $200, and those are mass produced, for a custom piece with a gas mix of your choice you're looking at $400+. To build one yourself could be done for about $60, but to do it properly would require the investment of many thousands of dollars of equipment, or in the least the donation of ready to go glass, and cheap gas

  • @nerodesign000 if it really costs thousands of dollars how are they produced with less than $13?

  • @chsxtian - Because the little cheap ones with PLASTIC globes & industrial grade gases (which cost a fraction of the brightness of Research Grade gasses with catalyst mixtures) are cheap to make - plus the break down over time. I could make one with a plastic bag & a $20 power supply. But 'museum grade' require a massive oven, larger thicker globes of 10mm thick Borosillicate glass, brighter, purer gas mixtures, custom-built electronics & they cost much more to make. hence they look NICER!

  • @nerodesign000 if you knew it was possible why mention the thousand dollar version?

  • @nerodesign000 a power supply? like from a computer? plus would you need to get the requred gasses to make it work?

  • @nerodesign000 sounds like someone wants to sound authoritative

  • @nerodesign000 Lol you fucking owned that noob , Mouthing off and lieing ...

  • @nerodesign000 kiaora boy

  • @nerodesign000

There's any way to choose the colors that the globe will display?

  • @nerodesign000 fake you not homemade you buy is

  • at target NC TTHEY SELL IT FOR 16 dollars

  • @chsxtian you got owned

  • @nerodesign000 way to be a douch.

  • @nerodesign000 Man...that's a lotta customs...hope you aren't importing.

  • @liloriginalone and i'm 14 and i know that too xD

  • @liloriginalone 5 people are 15 and already know how its built???

  • Comment removed

  • how did you make the plasma ball?????? I really wanna know.

    It looks so cool!!!

  • @nerodesign000 haha..i was born in 1985

  • @llxlpandalxll i agree its practically impossible to do it by hand even with another one to help you

  • bought 1 for $17 at warehouse!!! no way could i make one for that

  • Great i use huge lightbulb up to my huge wimshurst set up and get great results

See Wimshurst machine flyover and other video

I need to rotate bulb or burn hole in it!!! Will video and put on utube soon

  • wat is plasma exactly

  • plasma is ionized gas

  • tht is cooool man

  • where can I buy it or how can i make one..

i'm italian.. sorry 4 the english.. xD

  • That Thing is So Beutiful! =D

  • thats pimp

  • You made it yourself? Really cool five stars!

  • wolf, the mix of gas gas and pressure within the ball are what allow the plasma to manifest without being superheated. its the reaction you might see in a neon sign at the bar. if it cracks or you take it off, you wont have plasma anymore and you risk shocking yourself. i could be wrong on this but i believe the plasma arms you see are the result of the electromagnetic fields pulling the plasma particles into the center of the field. as they flex and move, so does the plasma.

  • I was placing my hands on one of these in the science museum, and then I accidentally touched the metal railing while felling the plasma ball. Ouch...(as in static electricity ouch)

  • what would happen if the glass wasn`t there? just wondering

    =)

  • Nothing. The gases would just disperse into the air. It's the glass that's holding in the gases and allowing the pressure to remain constant.

  • ok.

  • nothing but if you touch them it will shock you. i took a battery powered one apart and my cat would hit it

  • i have one of those and they're like 10 dollars!

  • totally awsome!!!!

  • how you make that

  • can't you buy these at the store for like $10?

  • U wish a ball that size wud cost u at least $500

  • yes but making them is more fun

  • now all you need to do is find a way to release this in a charged beam towards the denizens of a small unsespecting rural town....or...stare at it and make everyone else wish they had one.....jerk....

  • that is sick. five stars

  • @Spitfire995 yes it was< I WANT ONE!!

  • Plasma is the best state of matter =) plus u dont have to be tesla to make one of these at home

  • The music sounds like the lobby music from a Phantasy Star game

  • What fatboy slim song is that?

  • much better, can you buy them like that?

  • with this music is really hypnotic!

  • its fatboy slim

  • Nice! YOU made that yourself?!? Nice job you did

  • Plasma is amazing yet shocking

  • o.0 i think is somekind of electro energy OMG HOW DID u DO THAT???????????????

  • The mixture of gases described at 0:05, if you put a mixture of those gases in the glass ball and seal it, then it creates those colors. the colors of the currents all depend on the gaseous mixtures inside the glass orb.

  • best directions i ever hurd =)

  • whoa

  • what is your proof that it was home made?

  • that you don't have one at home.

  • now you're being silly

its very obvious that if I buy one from the shops I will have one

I mean seriously are you even trying

what I'm saying is you know what forget it

it must be true the internet never lies

  • oooh burn

  • what happends if u break that globe around it??

  • the gas is released and the effect ends.

  • that superb

  • where do you get krypton from? lol

  • youre god:D no no jk. i know its argon+nytrogen and krypton. but how to make it???? you have to say meeeeeee!!! and others ofcourse!!!

  • how did u make it i want to make 1 to

  • Its beautiful.

  • that is awesome, it looks better than commercial ones

  • Very nice!

What frequency does it run at?

  • u really made that?

thats even brighter then the ones u see at stores!

  • id like to have one! nice btw, i think ur erry smart!

  • What is the lifespan of a plasma ball?

  • The same as the answer to the square route of a pineapple. :)

  • 4 days

  • That is really cool, you did a great job. I would love to see you make a video on how you made this.

  • It most CERTAINLY is home made. I know. Because I made it. That's was a really stupid comment.

  • ur really rite

  • @nerodesign000 he means the glass part i think

  • Kooooooolllllllll!

  • holy shit that was SO AWSOME!

  • now tahts freakin cool!

  • how do you biuld this cool stuff?

  • i love the vid and the plasma ball wuz epic...whats the name of the song though T_T

  • hey could some one tell me how to fix one of these plasma lamps, mines not working....

  • How do you make that!

  • I want it!!! :D I want it now!!!! :D So great.

  • Do plasma balls waste electricity or recycle it?

  • I'd assume waste, because you have to connect it to a power source to use it. If it was self contained, it'd be "recycling" it.

  • I thought Plasma was the same as electricity but low on Electrons or whatever they're called.

  • no. just, just no.

  • yep.. ur stupid, or on crack. Stop reading sci-fi books and get a real life thecrazymo

  • hey how do you do this plasma ball... or what is.....

  • I thought they use this things in cars like the Helium Lights for audi

  • What's the use of it now?

  • stare and say "woooow" :P
