  • 5:30 eeehhhmmm.... the knight (i dont know his name >.<) is a giant Ö.ö

  • Fight music when Marth charges on his horse.... Priceless~! XD

  • man, you know what i love about fire emblem? (games and this) is that the fighting is legit. its not hollywood choreography, its like what would really happen in a battle.

  • That's one big Falchion o.o

  • People die but nobody bleeds...

  • Whoa, I have the game of this parts, and some things I noted it's wrong - Falcion (X) Falchion - Garnef is the High Sorcerer - Aritia (X) Artia - This is not a error but only I want tell, the Garnef's magic name is Imhullu

  • Shadow Dragon is just a remake of Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Ken with poor translations. This, however is based on Monshou no Nazo. Falchion is a minor spelling change. Garnef is indeed the high priest of Monshou no Nazo. Aritia is more direct a translation (English is Altea, by the way). Garnef's magic tome is really Maph, or Maafu.

  • Who is Seiyuu (Voice Actor) of Marth?

  • Hikaru Midorikawa. Same guy that voices him in Smash Bros.

  • 5:29

    Really?

They had to do the whole tuba thing for Draug?

    He doesn't deserve that.

  • 1:53 Old Orleans :)

  • Lies! Pirates can only use axes!

    SHUT UP! >_>

  • Mars Bars.

  • If you knew anything about the original game that this is based off of, you would know. Caeda and Nabarl aren't exactly great translations, you know. (Caeda looks too much like al Qaeda, and Nabarl makes him sound too Germanic.)

  • haha this things starting to make me like anime

  • Gawd I love Cain, he rocks my socks. <3

  • lol i know the hack in fire emblam shadow dragon wifi that i can use imhullu in battle im unstoppable except for starlight

  • how come they call him mars?

  • Mars is the greek god of war that Marth is named after, but in japanese the 's' sound is pronouned 'th'

  • how come they call they mar's

  • Is this on TV?

  • it was but you got to remember this is a very old show *i would say at least 10 years old*...only way u can get it now is by buying a dvd of it....if they even have those

  • VHS only

  • his falchion looks awesome

  • go jagian

  • Gharnef used flux! I think :S

  • Holy Crap, *goes to Gharnef Cheif Medeus Would like you to go to aritia* (ambush steal imhullu rule the world Make sure I have the spheres so Starlight cannot be made and rule the world lol)

  • marth and caeda r my best characters on shadow dragon ds

  • when Gharnef used his spell it looked like it hurt a lot

  • Art is alright, but they can do better. Fights are awesome though.

  • king got ownd

  • gharnef isnt as ugly as he is in the game XD

  • You know, this is not bad, actually. The art is alright...

  • sweet.

  • Draug: "Peek a boo." Hehe.

  • Oh, well, Corneilius, you were a poor excuse for a father anyway.

  • LOL! Gordin pwns

  • Gharnef is scary.

  • Wish you could mount Marth

oh and lol at Abel: "Stupid charger"

Kain being the one having high attack but low speed

  • Maph sure is a super strong tome

  • Oh no it's Gharnef! Run! He is invincible!

  • is this Marth

  • Mars, don't forget to visit the village and get those 5000 coins!

  • 4:01

    Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon opening!

  • Falcion? Is't that the name of the sword Marth uses in SSB?

The one being held by the king looks bigger

  • Yea, that does look alot like Marth's sword, except Marth's is alot smaller and doesn't have 2 point sticking out just past the handguard.

  • finally i found the anime

  • oh no the king cornelius is mars' father isnt he??? poor old mars!!! :(

  • prince mars?... wtf,why mars when marth is a good name

  • okay I was WTf about that too but I can see two possible reasons for that, 1 Mars could be th eproper translation or 2 It's a really bad typo.... REALLY bad.

  • Mars is the proper translation

  • Since the "th" sounds isn't commonly used in Japanese, it could be either one. ADV translated it as Mars (1996) and Nintendo translated it as Marth (2000? 2001?).

So either one could be correct.

  • I think Cornelius just got critted at 1:14 lol

  • crit OVER NINE THOUSAAAANNNND!!!! sorry, I just had to...

  • this is epicc

i feel like i'm playing the game :D

  • Poor cute mars

  • I forget the names of the characters, but are those ppl sitting at the table the ppl u start with in the start of FE1?

  • Yeah. The cavalier duo are named Cain and Abel (Cain = red, Abel = green). Yeah, they're named after the Biblical brothers. The old man is Jeigan, who starts off strong, but is the worst character to use overall. Apparently, Gordon, the green haired archer is missing, and Doga, the armor knight, isn't present as well. Sheeda, the Pegasus knight isn't sitting on that table either. The DS version adds another cavalier named Freyr and an archer named Norn, but obtained under certain circumstances.

  • O_O in the FE DS translation it says his name is Kian not Cain..and Jeigan sucks real bad.. Freyr leaves in the prologue..I cant read japanese so yeah XD

  • Freyr? Just sacrifice Jeigan in the fortress after you strip him of his weapons. The translation screwed up, it's Kain. It makes more sense (Cain and Abel). And Freyr turns out a better unit than Kain and Abel sometimes, so he's worth using. People always kill of Gordon to get Norn, but why would I want to kill off a little kid? O_O You only get Norn if you had 4 or less units after the prologue.

  • I just realized... Doga was sitting at the table. He was the big guy. Didn't know he was THAT big... O_O

  • so i can make anyone leave?

  • Anyone except Marth, heh heh heh... they are there to distract those uber knights who want to kill Marth... and Jeigan seems to be the most practical. Storyline wise, I think it would be Freyr because if you played the original FE1/FE3, Freyr never existed, so... yeah. You can put ANYONE but Marth.

  • Lmao..when i first got to the knights part, I thought I had to kill them..I was like WTF? then i just put Freyr there and I was like ohh....

  • Silver Lance... 31 HP, massive defense... you couldn't possibly take them down unless you hack (attempting it now) ~_^

If you play hard mode, the prologue doesn't exist... so it will be more like the original FE1. I'm like the remake but somewhat disappointed at it, although it did set things more proper, such as Navarre and Raddy being a Myrmidon as opposed to mercenary, weapon triangle being fixed (somewhat), stat caps above 20 and most units being able to promote.

  • Before I even got the translation, hard mode..was hard as hell..

  • Don't try hard mode if you don't like losing units (like me). Hard mode 5 especially... I mean look at those enemies' stats... yikes! At level 2! And I thought FE6's hard mode was hard...

Yeah, stick with normal mode. It's still fun, although I wish they included book 2 like in FE3. Oh well. Those stupid Gaiden chapters require you to kill off some of your units... that I cannot do. Don't try either, most of them aren't worth visiting anyways... although Etzel looking a lot like Canas is cool.

  • Mars fights for his friends.

  • *shakes head at Sheida*

Girls...you turn around for one second and they go and die their hair pink and purple and all the colors.....yeesh lol

  • They should make a new ova where he looks like in SSBB or SSBM^^

And it would be pretty awesome if they made an Anime with Roy.^^ (Ike would be good too.)

  • they should start with FE 7 then 6 in anime from and a Ike series

  • well sorry! maybe ive never seen it B4

  • they should bring this show to the US cuz i love the fire emblem games!!

  • umm.. This is is US version. where do you think it came from? My tape maybe old, but it is the official US release.

  • where did you get it,and are there still more out there?

  • @sumprsn Sadly this is so old now plus it was pretty much deemed a failure and was discontinued after a mere two episodes. The remakes of FE1 and FE3 are giving me hopes that we might see a new anime adaptation, but that might be asking for too much :(

  • Wonder what would happen if this marth had the same strength from brawl?...the one where he gets the smash ball and uses critical hit...what happens if Ike was in the show as well o.o;;; ownage XD

  • 4:12 =P Anybody reconize that sentence? =P

  • O_o Falchion is bigger than Ragnell and Alondite !?! Falchion is not supposed to be a light sword ?

  • marth should stay the fucking hell away from jeigan. jeigan is nothing but bad news and a HUGE waste of time >_>

  • Not only are their weapons huge...their armor looks like it weighs two tons o_O

Interesting..I know the game Fire Emblem but it's neat to see it in anime. Thanks for uploading, and thanks for uploading with subtitles, too.

  • Mars = Marth

    Darhua = Dolua

    Sheida = Shiida

    Falcion = Falchion

    Aritia = Altea

    Jaigan = Jeigan

Dragon of Darkness = Shadow Dragon

  • That's gross...

  • Lol. The bigger the sword, the bigger the man?

I guess that must be right, the Falchion looks bigger than the Durandal, or the Ragnell!

Who's the girl now, Marth haters!

  • damn man the falchion is sweet.....

  • guy got tentical raped

  • where is marth? lol

  • Marth = Mars. Whoever did the subtitles mistranslated or something I guess.

  • Marsu=Mars. Marth is a very odd translation. the su at the end of mars' name can be translated as a th. that's where they got marth. he's actually named after the roman god of war, Mars, so I have no clue why they changed the way they romanized him name.

  • When I posted that I was thinking to myself "I bet somebody is gonna come in and tell me that 'Marth' is the actual mistranslation" or something to that effect.

  • It is just me, or does the writing in that book look similar to Hylian from Zelda? o__o

  • ...omg that falchion is effing huge!! O_O lol!

  • ...omg that falchion is effing huge!! O_O lol!

  • does the sword over axe over spear over sword thing work on here

  • probably not. my geuss is that they put it into the video game to add a sense of strategy. but that's only a guess.

  • why... the best shows and movies based on video games..... in jap *cry*

  • thats why theres subtitles

  • There exists an English version. There aren't any clips of it on youtube though.

  • have i missed something? at the beggining of part 2, there in some vilalge, next thing you know there in a war. is anything missing?

  • flashback

  • wow they look fat

  • This is very accurate to the game in the fact that Arrows still don't do damage. You shoot them and they just kinda dance around in discomfort.

  • hey, thanks a bunch for putting this up. I'm grabbing the bigger version from your site. you rock!

  • Sorry about my ignorance but what kind of spell at 1:02 was that?

I dont´t remember that kind of spell in fire emblem games can anyone tell me please?

    PD: Sorry about typing errors

  • the spell is probably Maph

  • thanks

  • I love it! It really captures the Fire Emblem feeling.

  • Just a note that should be added to the description,

The reson why the call Marth "Mars" is because the people in charge of produceing the english version misstranslated and tought it ment mars in japanese, whean Marth is a real name. So thats why the english subtiles and voices call him "Mars"

p.s. The person who plays Marth/aka: Mars is the same person who played him in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I was on wikipedia alot today!...and now my hands hurt from typing...

  • The music from 4:11, it was the original soundtrack from the game, Goddess of Dawn, right?

  • XD Not likely - this anime is from the nineties. It's moreso a staple of FE battle music.

  • YES fire emblem kick ass owó

  • is marth mars?

  • Yes, is it not obvious?

  • The pirates! they just suddenly attacked us!

Calm down! we still have to do our battle preparations.

  • LMAO!!! Princess Nina of Orleans? No, Princess Nina is not from Orleans, she's the Princess of Akeania (the country Akeania). She fled to Orlean after Akeania was defeated in battle. The King of Orleans took her and is guarded by the King's brother Hardin.

I thought this little mistake was only in the English dub, but I guess they messed it up in Japanese as well.

  • There's also a serious lack of Kashim and his sympathetic betraying Talis for money for medicine for his mother story.

  • Whoa! Starting at 1:00, was that FLUX!?

NOW I see how the mages and druids use books as weapon in the video games. Awesome!

  • Basically get out the tome, open it, chant, and watch the spell get sent out.

But that wasn't Flux. That was Maph, which is far more powerful, being Garnef's trademark spell. (Evil wizard guy is Garnef in case you didn't know.)

  • Hahaha, the pirate rapes that girl and he's like heh he he heeeh in this wierd laugh.

  • lmao!!!

  • Isn't Roy's Sword of Seals the Broad Sword, not Flachion?

  • Umm. Didn't Falcion have an H after the C? And wasn't it a rapier? Not an inspiration for Cloud's buster blade?

  • Talis, could that be an old teilus? ... No I guess probably not because teillus is a separate continent....

lol I answered my own question.

  • damnit i love fire emblem, anyone know if they have any vhs tapes or dvd's???

  • Just these two OAVS (2 tapes or LDs in Japan, or one VHS in the US.). It's out of print now though

  • i saw the VHS tape on a website 4 years ago and i couldnt get it because i was to young... But is there anyway you can still get it? (the US VHS)

  • I love sheeda! She's my fav and sooo pretty. ^.^

  • HAHAHAHA...everyone was so well-represented. Kain as a reckless berserker, Abel commenting on that, Doga a bloody Titan, and a kickass Jeigan. I find this funny as hell just because I'm seeing Fire Emblem as an anime.

  • Garnef had 4 more speed points than Cornelius. So he attacked first.

    -Garnef: Attack and Miss

    -Cornelius: Attack and Miss

-Garner: Critical Hit! And since he's a knight, low RES. :[ Goodbye Cornelius.

  • 1) Garnef's Speed has nothing to do with him with him attacking first. You mean "attacked twice." If it involved something like Initiative in Game Boy Wars 3, I might understand.

    2) Cornelius couldn't scratch Garnef anyway because of Maph.

  • 3) Cornelius's apparent junk for Magic Defense hasn't that much to do with his being an Armor. That has more to do with his being a non-mage. However, Maph is understandably powerful enough to rape most guys with a critical strike. It's either low Magic Defense or low HP that helps lead to this.

  • 4) Actually, Cornelius isn't necessarily an Armor class. Although he does seem to be a General. Fact is, Garnef's probably got above average Speed anyway. Maph could ruin that, if not for the fact that Garnef is intelligent enough to be one of the 3 Great Sages, being capable of fighting with the damn thing while retaining a hypnosis on Chiki.

  • XD <_< I was just joking. Don't take it seriously :p

  • Hmm..

Ah well. At least my Video Comments page now links to this part.

  • I have yet to hear the theme song...

  • the closing credits have the Fire Emblem theme playing. I didn't include them, because it was too big, but if you want I could upload it.

  • Translated? I'd like to know who voice acted.

  • ha ha! They're all French. I never knew that.

  • May have just been me but the sound was a but out of sync

  • sorry, but that happened when I split the 800mb file into 5 parts to upload it. I think it may be because I copied it form my old VHS to my computer. I have it with the sound lined up, but it's too big to upload anywhere.

  • Kain is a badass ..^o^

and the battle animation is great too.

  • the Falchion model has changed over the years like Marth ..

  • That big sword at the begining looked absolutely NOTHING like the Falchion. I thought Jeigan was on a horse. Why does he fight on foot? and why have the old man fight anyways?

  • Horseback units can dismount in FE1/3. This allows them to use swords (as opposed to lances while mounted), and their stats change.

  • In FE3, yes, but not in FE1

  • He attacks on his own command here. This isn't the game, you know. (Though he's probably genre blind. If he were genre savvy, he'd most likely just keep an eye on the battle and only attack should things get out of control.)
