At the beginning of the bubble part, there is a faster way... get a small bubble while it's completely on top of the screen, you'll get up faster ;) then on the second screen, you jump high to get the other bubbles.

The way you use Rush Coil to skip the second platform screen is by using it to jump on the top moving platform. I don't think you can make it all the way to the ladder directly, but I could be wrong.

I found this out by accident, but if you're daring and quick enough, you can use the tiny bubbles to get up quicker. You have to make sure that you jump before the bubble pops so that you can land on another one, but it is possible to screen change while riding a small bubble that pops under Megaman's weight.

at 1:47 you could use the tornado attack right after the coil to jump higher

Very nice run. Here are a few tricks.

1. You can use T.Blow on the Octopi-monsters at the beginning. Doesn't save time, but makes it a LOT easier.

2. At 0:26, you shot the thing behind you. This made you slow down a little. Rather than turning backwards, shoot a Black Hole in front of you while running.

3. At 0:53, there are a bunch of tricks, remember that you NEVER leave the screen on a big bubble. Combine R.Jet and T.Blow to save time.

4. 1:58, T.Blow from third platform.

Actually number 1 saves a very small amount of time due to the fact that Mega Man has more horizontal velocity when walking than he does when jumping (unless they changed that from the NES versions). Might even save about a hundredth of a second there ;)
