One question: Can you use your Straight Talk phone anywhere? Going to college, going to work, going into the city? There won't be a point where I don't have service?
For example, if I need directions or get lost, can I use a GPS or something?
I do like Straight Talk but find their support lacking. However, I discovered their Facebook fan page and also found great support from agents there. Really. And no phone calls needed, . Makes a good thing even better!
@BrainiacJr Yeah I've heard some HORROR stories about their tech support firm in India or wherever. Hoping my e71 doesn't go down any time soon because I love the functionality and the signal strength I'm only getting for 45, so I'm hoping I don't end up getting angry at them for some other reason!
@darylb468 Re: the tech support issues, yes, these are well documented on any review site on the Internet (so is the incredible signal strength) but they now offer some support from their Facebook page, which I've heard is much more responsive than trying the old farm.
@TheSuperConducter the reason you get a better signal is that Straight Talk uses both Verizon and ATT towers. SO, you're combining the powers of the two largest networks in the country! Far superior to only having a contract with one of them!
I have so many contract phones in my day. I have been through almost all of the service providers out there and was never, ever satisfied with my plans and service. With straight talk, i can talk as much as i want for a small price and I have reliable service that i can count on.
I chose Straight Talk for my son and myself, where else can you get the best network service with the best package that delivers what it says without hidden costs and contracts. You also recieve free 411 calls and have the flexibility to move to a cheaper option depending on your budget and usage every month.
Straight Talk really do provide the best mobile deal in the country- getting unlimited everything for $45 is unbeatable, plus, with the awesome coverage that ST provide it really is amazing...
My husband runs a catering business and his phone rings constantly and we can just imagine the high cost phone bill he would have if he wasn't on Straight Talks $45 unlimited plan for unlimited talk, text, mobile web & e-mail and free calls to 411.
Alan is saving an absolute fortune on this plan and it's the cheapest around. It's just great to be in control of our cell phone costs.
Real customer, and Real deal Straight Talk has. You start saving the moment you switch to Straight Talk. No contracts, but yes to great service. I have the $45 a month unlimited plan, still can't believe the savings I have received just for switching.
At Walmart you will find it in the electronics department. Do what I did, I check, review, and purchase Straight Talk.
Straighttalk is a very smart move to make. Yes there is no contract to worry about and they are dead cheap! Think unlimited talk, text and data for a month for just $45! Just because they are cheap doesn't mean that they don't have some great phones too. One of my best moves was to straighttalk
Even though this is dated, the message stays the same. Straight Talk is ideal, no contracts, no credit checks, no activation fees, no monthly bills. Just great nationwide coverage using major network provider at affordable rates. You can still find it at Walmart for those who need to see and touch the phones. Otherwise, you can shop the ST website and save yourself for the long lines.
I think that giving a Straight Talk smartphone like the Nokia 6790 to someone for christmas is a great idea because it'll help you save money long into the new year with the 45$ a month unlimited everything plan.
There is a better deal out there and that is on black friday - For $45 straighttalk offer a $45 air card AND a Samsung T55 - this makes an ideal christmas gift for a few friends who don't have a cell phone plan yet
@Thefatfrosty I picked up a whole set for my family because I know the 45 dollars per month is going to save me money almost immediately. And they love the Nokia 6790, they're no longer jealous of the klids with iPhones at school
Oh for sure this is the best deal out there. I was searching for a prepaid phone for a while and everything I like in a phone led me to straight talk. I think its the fact that they are Totally reliable. Especially with them being on the verizon network... their 3g is the strongest and they dont have any dropped calls. Plus I spend 45 bucks a month on unlimited everything. I dont have to count my texts anymore on my other plan to save money. Absolutely great phone
@alaren2323 I was wondering why the service was so strong, I started using Straight Talk as a backup plan but then noticed that the service was better than my contract carrier. I guess that's because it uses the Verizon network. Interesting.
I upgraded to the Nokia 6790. This is an absolutely fabulous phone and with the Straighttalk unlimited for $45 a month there is no better deal on the market
@flyspotable you too! Love this phone, it can pretty much do anything that you want to do with a phone including email, mobile web, 411, text, and talk, and no limits whatsoeverr! I feel like I've stolen an iPhone or something.
This is a great testimonial for Straight talk. My experience has been much the same. I am thinking of upgrading to a Straight talk smartphone, becuse that seems to be a really great deal. I did not realise that you get unlimited pictures as well.
I agree with all positive comments. Straight Talk has the best deal in cellphones and Walmart is the place to get them now. I bought mine a month ago and could not believe the savings were around $180 and it has NO contract to sign so there's no catch. Cash is what you will have. For $30 a month you get 1000 minutes to use a month. And the plan am on is the $45 a month unlimited plan. I am thrill and happy I switch. Why don't you? I am a happy customer these Holiday Season.
Now there's absolutely no reason not to have a straight talk unlimted plan because they just came out with a smartphone that rivals the function of the iphone but literally costs half as much. It's called the Nokia 6790 and I just got mine today, it works like a charm.
@filmguy786 I was waiting to switch to straight talk until they got this smartphone, I guess that's my queue to ditch my contract like all of you have done and get on Straight Talk. I hear it's on the Verizon network too!
@finsman777 Yea, Straight Talk is on the Verizon netowrk. That is one of the best perks in my opinion. Why would you sign a contract with Verizon when you can be on their network for half the price? it's unbelievable. make the switch, you'll be happy!
Straight Talk is indeed the best less expensive alternative for unlimited minutes. (and text messages, emails, internet, and 411). I can relate to this guy because I too am always out and about, but always need to be accessible to my clients. I can't afford to have poor reception. And I can't beat $45 a month to always be connected!
ME TOO!! My reception is soo much better. I had at&t and I used to drop calls all the time. I haven't dropped a single call since I got the phone and this plan is so much better than my old wireless service provider.
I love the fact that with the straight talk plan there are no monthly bills or signing your life away to some cellphone company. And for what?! To waste your money when you could be saving your money and getting a better deal with straight talk!
I get waaaay better reception than my former company as well! I'm saving between $50 and $60 a month and I am able to budget to the cent when it comes to my cell phone bill - no contract. What more could I want?
You couldn't have said it better. It really isn't about getting yourself the faciest phone anymore, it actually needs to have more benefits than that. With Stright Talk you can get a really nice phone plus plus plus plus... There is great reception, I have not dropped a call since I converted! You also knwo exactly how much to budget for your phone bill every month because it's $45 flat - no surprises,,
Straight Talk definately has great reception, i never had a dropped call since i switched to them. i got the $45 a month deal for unlimited data, text and web access an am saving lots of money every month. i no longer pay extra for long distance calls, which helps a lot when i am traveling.it is a nice straight forward deal with no surprises at month end. i always know where i stand with my finance.on contract there seemed to be always lots of extra charges for who knows what. loving it
agreed. also switched recently, and have done a bit of research, but straight talk, is offering the best deal with the best nationwide coverage.for $45 for 30 days i get unlimted talk, text and web access. no dropped calls, no extra fees for long distance.i also do not understand why anyone would still go for a contract. so outdated. prepaid is the future, and with Straight Talk you are getting yourself the best service and network coverage. go straight talk . go
My testimony is also very positive. StraighTalk is really fantastic. I pay $45 for 30 days connection - with this I get unlimited talk, text and web nationwide. Now you can't get a better deal than that and I really mean unlimited. There are no hidden costs or agendas and the service is great too.
Been looking at the alternatives to contract now that mine is nearly over. Straight Talk looks really promising...seems to be the best price for the most benefits. I love that the coverage is with Verizon -as my own boss I can't afford to have dropped calls. And at $45 I will be saving nearly $60 a month!
READ THE FINE PRINT AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REFILL COVERAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE USED YOUR COVERAGE COMPLETELY. THEIR SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY ELSE ERASE ANY REMAINING COVERAGE YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ADD A NEW REFILL CARD? THIS IS A SIMPLE QUESTION THAT NO ONE AT STRAIGHT TALKS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN ANSWER.
It is a great deal, isn't it? I was amazed that this is not flaunted everywhere in the media 'cause it is simply unbeatable. There is no way anybody gets better pricing than Straight Talk on a quality nationwide network.
