I think buying something because it actually looks good is a valid reason. You wouldn't think twice about spending a couple of hundred dollars extra on buying a car if it was the difference between a hyundai and a honda. PS3 has the blu-ray, free internet and playing with friends, stores a lot more, better graphics. Bad things are that it is a bit slower, costs a bit more (now with the slim $300), and isnt as popular.

Xbox360 has the cheaper everything, lots of friends play it, lots of exclusive games, and it is made in America (which makes Americans happy for some reason). Bad things are the annoying little kids that play, playing with friends costs money, red ring, freezing, and disk problems.
