Also I would like to note that I understand competition and that the corporate tax rate does have an appreciable effect on the money invested in the U.S. I just don't understand how the income tax rate does. But if you want to talk about the corporate tax rate then go ahead because I agree that lowering it is an idea with real possibilities. We should just couple this with getting rid of tax loopholes that were bought by lobbyists and campaign contributions.

In a sense I can support extending the Social Security Payroll Tax Cuts in 2012, but these temporary (fixes) to funding social security is not healthy for the future of the programs. I am hoping that Republicans, Democrats in Congress and the White House work together to develop a method to sustain not raising taxes for social security buy ajusting spending unnecessary matters!

I think that asking the richer citizens to go back to paying the normal rate before the Bush tax cuts is not unreasonable. (a 3% increase) That is what Republicans don't realize. They talk about cutting spending (which is perfectly reasonable) but they don't want to increase taxes- which needs to be done.

The thing is that giving a tax break to consumers means higher prices. The corporations pass on their tax expenses to consumers. The only way to help middle class consumers is to support HR2990. Money issued by the Treasury should be spent into Social Security and Infrastructure maintenance. HR2990 is the way to go.

Also I would like to note that I understand competition and that the corporate tax rate does have an appreciable effect on the money invested in the U.S. I just don't understand how the income tax rate does. But if you want to talk about the corporate tax rate then go ahead because I agree that lowering it is an idea with real possibilities. We should just couple this with getting rid of tax loopholes that were bought by lobbyists and campaign contributions.

Mr. President, we should not raise taxes on anyone. In a sense I can support extending the Social Security Payroll Tax Cuts in 2012, but these temporary (fixes) to funding social security is not healthy for the future of the programs. I am hoping that Republicans, Democrats in Congress and the White House work together to develop a method to sustain not raising taxes for social security buy ajusting spending unnecessary matters!

As such, depending on which survey you look at, Bush's job creation in his eight years was either 1.3 million or 4.4 million. Both surveys show job losses under Obama at basically 3 million.

@2ravenf0x2 Actually, the total job losses were because the terrible recession that was caused by Bush and the conservative ideology of deregulation and tax cuts for the rich and big banks caused so many jobs to be lost that they more than offset the 2-3 million jobs created by the stimulus. So that's why the cumulative change in employment was negative.

@EGarrett01 It is impossible to fix the defect without both cutting spending and increasing taxes. I think that asking the richer citizens to go back to paying the normal rate before the Bush tax cuts is not unreasonable. (a 3% increase) That is what Republicans don't realize. They talk about cutting spending (which is perfectly reasonable) but they don't want to increase taxes- which needs to be done.

The thing is that giving a tax break to consumers means higher prices. The corporations pass on their tax expenses to consumers. The only way to help middle class consumers is to support HR2990. Money issued by the Treasury should be spent into Social Security and Infrastructure maintenance. HR2990 is the way to go.
