  • @Bee0992 there are some others too... lots of hotels and shops and streets used as places they walk down, or places that they have coffee, but those are the main ones I think... Oh and the castle is used tons!

  • oh wow!

its cool how that bad wolf graffiti is still there, it hasnt been washed off or anything,

if i go to cardiff i'll have to look out for that playground! :D

  • When's your London Version out : )

  • There's an official Dr Who location tour you can go on... Not sure what the company is called though.

  • I've lived and worked in Cardiff for years and i keep wishing i could come accross some filming but never do.

But i like Cardiff Bay, especially on a hot summers day. That fountain can really cool you down if the wind is in the right direction ; )

  • Also, when standing outide the Queen's Arcade (where Jackie went late night shopping) walk towards the church and look around the street. That was where the doctor and kylie 'beamed' down to in voyage of the damned. Welcome to the hayes, people :)

Can i just say its so weird hearing people say these things about cardiff when it just seems like the most normal place in the world after going there for years! Its truly amazing! :P

  • They should change the name of that fountain to "The Rift fountain" or something.

I love that the "Bad Wolf" graffiti is still there. That's just awesome.

  • It's funny watching this video. I live in Cardiff and see quite a number of locations from Doctor Who each day. It's odd because most people think "There's Queen's Arcade again." but when it's on TV people wet themselves with excitement looking at it!

It's great watching people jump on the 'moving' step on the water tower and say "Come on! I want to meet Barrowman!!!"

  • The Stairs in the milenum center was also used in The Sound of Drums as the master walked down the steps after his become prime minster

  • You are sooo lucky! I wonder if you could look for classic who locations. Such as the radio tower where the Doctor falls from and regenerates in Logoopolis, and where they shot Castrovalva... As for New locations, I would love to see the park where everyone left at end of "Journey's end." Also, the street where the TARDIS landed in CI.

    Thanks!

  • The tardis landing in CI was filmed in saint david's market, Cardiff which has now been demolished, like most of the city centre. But her flat was filmed in London. The park scene in Journey's End is Morgan Jones park, Caerphilly, just outside Cardiff. :D

  • that is SO cool that you got to see it all yourself!

    I'm so jealous!

    DOCTOR WHO FOREVER!

  • i really like your video of cardiff! i went afew weeks ago for my bday and love it! seein all the sights are great and watch your video took me back there!

  • I can't believe badwolf is still written on the wall i was down in cardiff on sunday and got pictures of the menuillim place and the fountain. i was like wow!

  • You mean the millennium centre? It's a neat building isn't it? It's where the Cardiff x factor, britain's got talent and I believe big brother auditions are held.

  • you don't say if you went to the welsh history museam, which is also just outside the city centre but still in cardiff.

This is were they filmed a lot of family of blood and human nature.

Its a great day out on its own never mind also having ties to doctor who.

  • Sorry , i made an error , it was actaully in Wales not London . . . . Shit ! and i think of myself as a dame fine Whovian ! .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who

  • Very good video . I never know the location where the Doctor and Rose visited that Hospital on New Earth was filmed in London ! , well , you learn something new everyday ! .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • It wasn't ;).

  • Thanks for uploading this - as an Australian fan I can't just 'pop' down and have a look at these locations ;)

  • Ooh

  • Sweet... If I ever get to europe i'll make sure I go through Cardiff

  • Wonderful! Thank you so much for showing this!

  • Cheers for this =] It's fantastic for all those Sci Fi geeks like me! xx

  • I'm going to Cardiff for a day next week, so hopefully I'll be able to see some of these places.

  • Hope you have fun! Mermaid Quay and the Millennium Centre are a must! Then there's the Doctor Who exhibition across the road in the Red Dragon centre too! :)

  • Make sure you check out town and the bay, the best places for location shots, plus torchwood are alternating their filming between there so it's likely you may spot them.

  • Now they're what I call holiday snaps. Nice film - thanks for sharing.

  • I wish I could go to London and Cardiff for a holiday and site seeing expedition one day! :D Thanks for the video!

  • Great video and you are cute too.

  • That's wicked awesome. Now I wanna to go Cardiff and visit all those places.

  • You should. It's great fun. If you go to the exhibition at the Red Drahon centre you can get a location guide for 20p :)

  • Nice! Thanks for sharing. :)
