  • John smith is so HOT

  • I can't believe pocahontas gets married with John Rolfe in the second movie and chooses to stop loving Smith. BULLSHIT we all have to forget that movie, as a respect for ours childhoods.

  • Where did you get the song from? I couldn't find it on iTunes and the soundtrack has some other guy singing it.

  • I am so so so glad they added this song and had the two of them come back for it. The film just isn't complete without it.

  • Soooo beautiful T_T...

  • I was born in1998 so i got to live a little bit of this and let me tell you...... it RULED!!!!!!!!!! now disney cant come up with anything better so they have 3D

  • @prissy131213 The Princess and Frog didn't come out very long ago. Yet it's still classic Disney.

  • I want the original without the singing

  • john smith was my first crush<33

  • Pocahontas was drawn more beautiful in the 1st movie. That's what i think.. Hahaha, I miss the ogrinal Disney & movies like this. </3

  • mel gibson sings?! D:

  • whenever i rant about how much the sequel sucks in front of my mom she says "honey...its just a movie!" i wanted to go into in even longer rant about how it ruined my childhood and i LOVE tht movie...but i knew shed just make fun of me.........

  • I'm more fond of your montage that what is actually in the movie.

  • In real life, John smith was a short, fat guy or something. Pocahontas was only, like, 13 when he came.

  • @BatsInMyBelfryLol she was also very ugly. no joke either XD

  • @TheCMEAMC

I wouldn't doubt it. XD From what I've seen in the history books......

  • They have, the best, Disney kiss.

  • man...why couldn't history be written differently...I was sitting in my Advanced Placement US History class and I sighed an upset sigh when my teacher talked about John Rolfe...and then proceeded to tell us that the Disney version was wrong

  • I agree I fuckn hate pocahantus and John Rolfe

    It's

    All about John smith

I'm just saying, I would love the same person itaught to paint the colors of the wind.......

I fuckn hate Disney for breakn the best couple ever. He was romantic too. Not a fuckn red head. Go for the romantic blond!

  • I was going to make a cover of this, but I can't get through it without crying...

  • JOHN SMITH WAS LIKE 10YRS OLDER THAN HER SHE DIED AT 22 BEFORE JOHN ROLFE DIED I DID A REPORT AND GOT AN A PLUS

  • @michellmussorules she died at 21...

  • wow he can't sing not trying to be mean i love the movie : )

  • If somebody sang this to me we would be getting married tomorrow

  • Can I just say I am in love with Pocahontas' hair? And this song :)

  • I'm totally sitting here crying. A dork is here. :)

  • When I was young, I read cartoon strip about Pocahontas. John Smith was portrayed as an adventurer who was always away on exploration voyages. He loved public accolades for his exploits than staying committed to Pocahontas. Did he propose marriage to Pocahontas? While Pocahontas waited, Rolf was always there. Rolf proposed. Pocahontas accepted. Even though she married Rolf, the memory of John Smith still lingered in her memory. She was disappointed with John Smith. He never asked!!

  • I hate how they have to make a sequel to every movie that the main character doesn't end up in a relationship in the end of it. Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas...both great movies with sequels that ruined everything.

  • also his charcter was nothing likkkkke this in real life i did a research paper on him

  • i get how everyone wnats them together in the 2nd but john smith wasnt that good looking in real life thats why alot of u girls want her with him i wish they did to but really get over it

  • Damn it im crying lol

  • I love this song, just because even though in the story, it's about John dying, it's actually a beautiful break up song. It's about loving without regret, even though in the end, you may have to part, you must remember to celebrate when you've had, and always carry the best of that person with you.

  • John Smith for the win.

  • NO NO NO!!!... dont get me wrong i love this song with a passion!!! but i think they killed it by singing it in this scene... it makes it less romantic or something... they should have stuck with the first version (in my opinion)

  • I was watching Pocahontas the other day for the first time in years, and I honestly bawled at this scene. It's beautiful. Even now I'm getting teary eyed.

  • @MomoTheStrange omg, Pocahontas has to be one of the saddest/happiest Disney Movies ever... :')

  • Growing up Mufasa was my father, Bambi's mother was my mother, Ariel was my sister, Peter pan was my younger brother, Hercules was my older brother, Esmeralda was my aunt, The Genie was my weird uncle, Woody & Buzz were my best friends, Baloo & Bagheera were my babysitters, The Dalmatians were my pets, Growing up Disney was my family. I'm proud to say I am a 90's kid. I know we probably can't do anything but if you had this childhood and want your kids to as well, please repost this.

  • I love how the first movie was drawn better than the second.

  • @heavenhotti IKR????? I'll never get tired of this song [:

  • THIS MOVIE IS FAKE JOHN SMITH AND SHE DID NOT GET MARRIED IN RL! IT WAS HER AND JOHN ROLFE GET IT STARIGHT!

  • @abbycandy454 LALALALALAL iT NEVER hAPPENED!!!NEVER!!!!LALALALALLALALA

  • @abbycandy454 but they never married or ended up together in the second pocahantas movie. She did end up with John Rolfe

  • awesome but in the descripten it is sung not sunged

  • How great must feel true love. When shall I feel the same?

  • Haven't seen this in so long!! Just him saying "pocahontas" made me melt :D

  • Oh...Mel Gibson gains about a million cool points for this movie...too bad he went batshit crazy...

  • @franknfurter75 i know! he takes a bullet for her father and damn near gets killed by kokoum or whatever his name is just cuz he went to see her. He went through hell to be with her and then she completely does a 180 and goes with some fag. You can clearly see she still has feelings for him in part 2 when she sees him. Stupid rolf dud should have died by smiths hands... well maybe not that but i think smith and pocahontas

  • this song makes me cry, no lie.

  • @CarolRayCyrus bebe, we know how you feel. ; .; /pats.

  • @CarolRayCyrus It makes me cry ALL the time..:') lol

  • John Rolfe can't compare to John Smith is any way. John Smith got shot to protect her father. What has John Rolfe done to deserve her love? Nothing I say. Pocohantas just turns on JS and was like you weren't here so I love this new guy who has not done shit. If Disney could have made JR and Pocohantas believable, then MAYBE I would have bought it. But as it stands, no one should watch the second movie. I rather would have had JS die then what actually happened.

  • People no one cares about real life! In the world of Disney Pocahontas and John Smith were meant to be! WE WERE BETRAYED!

  • This song never fails to turn me into a sobbing, wet mess every time.

  • did anyone other than me cry during this part? such a beautiful song, i wish they hadn't cut it out

  • @vivamp21 i cried so hard.. also .

  • @13nickrock it tugs on your heart strings, plus i wish that someone felt this way about me

  • @vivamp21 i know.. i feel the same way about it..

  • @13nickrock i'm sorry, yea that's my only birthday wish is to find my special someone

  • @vivamp21 awww!! that's so sweet.. my best wishes & i really hope you find that someone..

  • @13nickrock aww thank you and i hope the same for you :-)

  • pause the video at 0:21. It is a awesome picture

  • I love this movie. I understand how people said part was ruin because of Rolfe. But after reading about her life, I thought the ending seemed fitting. I hate it in my own way, because when I watch the ending [for part 2] I think, "oh look. She's gunna die soon." And, that made me sad.

  • I love my original version, but I kind of wish I had the version with this extended scene too.

  • DUDE he is the sexiest cartoon man ever! YESSSS LMAO!

  • Everyones talking bout how they hate the 2nd movie. did u notice that Part 2 was never in theaters? it went straight to DVD. Disney was looking for a way to make more money and add in more ways to tell the true story. but @korynnlynnette is right. When she goes to England and see John Smith, he is an old man bc Pocahontas doesnt go to England until shes like 20

  • john loved her :)

  • I wish that, instead of what really happened in history, Disney would have kept Pocahontas and John Smith together, because they deserve each other. Even Pocahontas's mother wanted them to be together...Why Disney, why?!

  • the second pocahontas movie ruined everything! all other disney sequals didnt ruin the main story or ruin the love between the main characters in the end... who cares about the real historical events? the so-called sequel to pocahontas was the worst idea disney has ever had cuz what was the point of showing all that love in the first one then to just ruin it with another movie :/ well the second doesnt excist for me, john smith and pocahontas forever ^^

  • I cry a little every time I see this.

  • wen u watch dis version of da film with dis song included it makes da whole movie seem soo adult like its touching and beautiful; love dis song <3

  • ya noe what was stupid about the 2nd movie besides like everythn one thing bsides her dumpin smith is tht the had pocahontas' bff married 2 kokooum but didnt he die?!?!?!!?

  • DAMN you disney you couldn't just leave part 1 alone no you had to add a second one to complete it we all now it happened in real life but couldn't you have made it the other way around

  • I was contemplating marrying John Smith when I saw this at 4 years old.

    I was marrying Mel Gibson.

  • Comment removed

  • Has the money greedy adults heard this before? "don't fix what ain't broken"!

    GOWD!!!!

  • Mel Gibson should have let his **sigh* let his Australian accent flow! No! Don't pretend you have an American accent! Well, maybe a little... XD

  • This song makes me cry!! :'''(

  • I cried.

    I FUCKING CRIED.

  • How come this song isnt in the movie?

  • @couturebabex33 Its in the 10th Anniversary Edition

  • Man I love this song. Part 2 was ruined by Rolfe. Sure she married him in real life but god John Smith fell in love with her first and he asked her to come with him and what did she say I belong here and he goes then I will stay here with you and Pocahuntas is like no you have to go back. Seriously what the hell was she thinking of leaving a hot cartoon man . How selfish is she. Mel Gibson has a nice singing voice.

  • @Disney65Fan Do you even know the REAL story? John Smith was really a 30-40 year old something when he went to America and she was only 12. Disney took the basic story and tweaked it a bit to make it better. It's just a movie anyway!!!

  • @Disney65Fan in real life john smith was just a friend, they never kissed and they were never in love

  • @Disney65Fan And I hate John Rolfe therefore :'( :D I just think she betrays John Smith :( It's soooo sad!

  • @Disney65Fan lol thank you!

  • @Disney65Fan Well in real life after Rolfe died she went back and married John. At least that's what the books say.

  • @NAVEMAN3 Pocahontas actually died in Gravesend, England around 21 or 22 years old still married to Rolfe - I was so shocked when I found out she died so young.

  • @mikeykm1993 It was from smallpox. I don't know if her son died the same way but supposedly yesterday they may have found the sight where she married. Think of that as you will.

  • eight people never knew you

  • "I rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you"

    wow

  • when people watch disney movies , they DONT CARE ABOUT HISTORY . & if you do , well then DONT WATCH DISNEY . they should have done whats right ! if they wanted to go with history , then they shouldnt have made her & john smith together in the first one! you cant just break all of our heart s ...... its not fair .

john smith loved her way more, they shared more together . john rolfe just kinda , wedged hismelf in there & ... yueah . screw him :$

  • The sequal happened because in real life she married John Ralf she is based off a real woman....

  • the "sequel" wasn't even written by the same people. If some random dude wrote a book and call his characters Harry, Ron and Hermione would you call it harry potter 8 just because it's by the same publisher?!

  • This song is so beautiful! Too bad it didn't make it to the movie

  • i wish she didn't meet another guy in number 2! would of been SO much better if she met back up with john smith, or better yet, just left it as one film!

  • @justsmile4me2 Unfortunately for you, Pocahoontas actually married John Rolfe in real life. She had a son named Thomas with him. She died when she was either 21 or 22.

  • Mel's been hiding out on us! He can sing really well.

  • It makes me want to cry everytime i hear this song! D: Number two shouldnt have been made...

  • The best Pocahontas quote:

"I'd rather die tomorrow than living a hundred years without knowing you"

    ..... That's so Romantic!!!!!!!!!

  • 9 people have never met someone who shows them the true meaning of love

  • In my eyes, there is no second movie. also, they are the same age so it's not creepy with john smith being 30 and pocahontas 12. THEY ARE THE SAME AGE.

  • whaaat a beautiful movie......and song!!!

  • Disney already went way off of historical accuracy with the first movie. So I say...why didn't they just continue it that way? I mean really. The second movie ruined it all. I pretend as if it doesn't exist...

  • I loved the first movie, but didn't like the second one. They changed up Smith's face in the second one. It didn't look as detailed a it did in the 1st movie. The only reason why they added John Rolfe, was so they could make the movie more true to history. I liked John Smith, because he had a better personality. :\\

  • mel gibson sings with his heart

  • I love this song, but it's so hard to enjoy Mel Gibson right now.

  • Wow, John is smexy here.

Too bad that the second movie was based off on real historic facts =P

  • Mel Gibson can actually sing!! OMG!

Sorry for Mel, but after listening John Secada voice there's no comparison.

I was just watching the movie in english (I'm argentinian so I've only watched in spanish) and I realise how sexy Mel's voice is when he said:

"Look at me, I rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you"

    That part just melted me.

Anyone know a video where they show him singing the song?

  • Pocahontas and John Smith~ i love those two ~ so much better than JOHN ROLFE, i mean seriously == Pocahontas and J.S share a beautiful love in the first movie, then suddenly the in the second movie, she dumps him for J.R... i mean wat the hell == disney should make a new pocahontas. anyways LOL i know it's based on real facts, in fact, i did some research because i was curious, but u know wat? stuff that, the two johns were both ugly and fat, why even both to go with the true story ~

  • Who knew Mel Gibson could sing! i LOVE his voice. This song makes me sad :(

  • so does this mean Smith is a pedophile, Disney? If we're being all historically accurate and all now? (what with movie 2)

  • people, i know you're pissed about the sequel, but if you researched the story of pocahontas, you'll realize that it was kinda necessary. in real life she did go to england and marry john rolfe. and in real life she died of smallpox in england so disney did us a favor on that part

  • @fayeslover haha yeah I'm glad they didn't out the smallpox into the movies ;)

  • compare the 2nd movie's animation, its HORRIBLE! it looks like someon made it o their computer. part 2 killed everything

  • i want John Smith!!! <3

  • My favorite Disney movie EVER!!!!!

  • @princessregime In bambi, only a few weeks passed. It picked right up after the first.

  • This song is kind of depressing when you consider the story along with it. Yet I still love it.

  • beatiful <3

  • I cried through the whole fucking song.. ahh <3

  • OMG THIS IS SOO SWEET!! :(

  • Seriously, I liked John Rolfe, but they should've just left movie two alone, or lied some more and said they get married, Pocahontas is to be executed or something for drama, John Smith rescues her, and they both live in the new world living happily ever after! D:

  • To sister davies and sister worrie. It i never now you. Thanks for the friendship to gave me. If the time we had as gong as friends i am glad i know you. Lost forever. I have lived at last. I will miss you so much. If i never know you. The church is not the same no more. Since you have moved on. space3332.
  • T.T so sweet :(((

  • i hate the movies that are apparently the "sequel" to the first ones beause the people in disney get lazy and dont draw the characters right, and the young characters arent adults like they were in the first movies, like in fox and the hound 2, they're still kids! and in bambi 2 , bambi was still a kid

  • @princessregime omg i thought i was the only one to get mad at that! i know how you feel! they should have never made a fox and the hound 2 or bambi! :/ lol

  • This song wasn't in the video i got when i was a kid

  • That is so sad!

  • If i never know you.

    Sisters davies and sister worrie.

Thanks of the friendship you gave me.

    I have lived now.

    now thats yous have gone.

    lost forever.

I am glad i know you.

The church is not the same no more.

    space3332.

  • gawd you made a video TT^TT this is beautiful... THEY SHOULDA MADE THE PART TWO for for fan service ... or just to make the viewers happy... i would be so happier if smith and pocahontas got together.. even if it's not the real story TT^TT

  • Comment removed

  • Smith>>>>>>>>Rolfe

only Smith is in the Disney merchandise with our Native American Pricess NOT that pathetic Rolfe!

  • okay people the reason they didnt end up together is because john smith left her to go on other expeditions. if you read his journals or watched the new world you would understand that he chose "being an explorer" over her. heart breaker!!!!

that aside. this was a cool song and i wish they kept it in.

  • I love this song

but i wish disney didnt do a second movie

  • I hate straight to dvd films they are usually so crap esepcially when it comes to fucking disney... the second film always pissed me off, for one the characters are so badly drawn and second she totally belonged with John Smith... god this is the only film thats worse than fox and the hound 2! which had nothing to do with the first part >O my god! disney are so bloody desperate money when they bring this kinda crap out...

  • Part 2 destroyed EVERYTHING about Part 1...

    what was DISNEY thinking?!?!?!??!

Smith still loved her and she dumped him for a very reserved guy...

  • as true as that is... this song is god tier.

  • @beaumarchamp POcahontas 2 is still based on the real story, as much as the first one! They are both good movies.

  • @helenabba1 the 1st one was so NOT based on histroical facts. She met Smith when she was 12 and he wasnt hot or blonde, he was short and chubby with brown hair. N on the 2nd one, she NEVER actually goes home, she dies in London, neither r historically correct at all, so y make her end up with Rolfe?

  • @beaumarchamp What was Disney thinking?? MONEY. They only do sequels in order to make more money.

  • @beaumarchamp well disney wasn't totally inaccurate. in real life, she really did marry john rolfe. but yes, i was pissed all the same when she dumped john smith.

  • @beaumarchamp To bad, the Real story Pocahontas was based on, was even sadder than part two..

    Search Wikipedia.

  • @beaumarchamp

    Thats history for ya.

In actual history John Smith was an older man. like Grey hair old. Not hottie mchot up above us.

    BUT FUDGEOIDJSUIRWBRJHEWIRUGJKNBSDKJHDFUCKIUHWIUGHEOGEOGWOEGUYDISNEYSBKAJSGDIGASDIUSAGDISGD

Look for the subliminal message up there

  • @beaumarchamp

The truth was she never actually got with John Smith, so it's not Disney's fault.

  • @atreyu25 it's not like disney has ever adhered to accuracy before. why start now?

  • @teacherofcrazy

because the people who wrote it knew it was only going straight to a home release and the only people who will really care about the story are people who have no lives and buy the movie expecting for it to not be accurate and groan, but instead are treated with a somewhat accurate story and becomes very shocked, and have a sudden urgency to go to a disney park and buy a bunch of disney pins. just saying.

  • @beaumarchamp in Disney's defense, that's how history went. she married John Rolfe. which is why they shouldn't have made a sequel to begin with.

  • @SuperGirlShayera it's not like the first movie was historically accurate, if they were going to mess with the history, the least they could have done was see it through and make it good.

but i agree, the sequel was a disgrace

  • @teacherofcrazy No it wasn't and they didn't make the decision to stick with the way they changed things in the first movie which was their big problem. Disney's biggest problem lately is they keep trying to get new money from old favorites by making horrible sequels that only 5 year olds like. they should stop that. Pocahontas is the only Disney animated heroine who falls in love, and then falls in love with someone else.

  • @beaumarchamp I just pretend that the second movie doesn't exist... :)

  • @beaumarchamp "what was DISNEY thinking?!" They probably tought they share the TRUE story with us, because that happened truly in real life. But of course all second movie was a mistake. Most people definetly love disney cartoons because they miss the real life part with all bad endings.

  • @beaumarchamp it was going off her real life.

BUT I TOTALLY AGREE. her and john were perfect )':

  • @beaumarchamp And the way it happened was so stupid.

John: They gave me the boat, now we can explore the world together!

    Pocahontas: er..

John: Oh..you love that other guy that you've known for a total of...a week?

    Pocahontas: I knew you'd understand...Bye!

    Lame Disney...really lame

  • @beaumarchamp Much freakin agreeeeeeed! i dont watch pocahontas anymore, it makes me sad cos she left smith :(

  • @beaumarchamp das reality man

  • @ emzjbz & chiaxroscuro

It also plays along with the aspect of "first love doesn't make it the right love". Pocahontas, while still an untamed personality/character, had taken over as the leader of her tribe, so in a way she had to settle down. Rolfe was a more stable, grounded aspect of love, while Smith is the excitement of adventure and searching for your place. She knows her place, and Rolfe went back to North America with her (in the movie) to find his place, which was with her.

  • she should've married john smith, he's all that and a bagga chips

  • I never really understood why she gave up John Smith for Rolfe, i mean, he still loved her! Since i was three years old and watched it, i never got it...

@arthurandgwen: LOL, we all tried, but she can only hear Rolfe's voice.

  • @emzjbz

she gave up smith for rolfe b/c the disney people wanted to make a sequel, and decided to half-ass, historically accurate (and therefore more educational, probably) one

  • let's just pretend the second one never existed.

  • @mizab090 agreed!! :))

  • @mizab090 That's what I do pretty much with every Disney sequal.

  • I hope Walt Disney's movies stay with us always.
