That song's the only thing i really like about this film. 'so long and thanks for all the fish, laa laa laa laaa la la - la la' . Most fishily Catchy :). Maybe not really the fault of the film (although i think Adams may have been forced to 'hollywoodify' it a bit.), but I think the series as seen in the 80's spoilt the film for many of us because thats how we had already assimilated it. I saw the series recently in one sitting and was transfixed despite the length much more than with the film

@intermender Adams actually had very little to do with the final product, since he died long before the script finally used for the movie was completed. Some claim that a lot of the ideas were his, but it was a work in progress and even those parts attributed to him were things he wasn't satisfied with and wouldn't likely have made it to the final cut.

You won't understand anything unless you watch it.
