I would advise against using a staff or any magic beyond immobilize and, later on, disable. The burning bow will make these enemies easily handleable as they'll eventually drop down to needing just 3 hits to defeat. I'm assuming you mean where in the story by "what part" - I've just completed Nalbina Dungeons, returned to Rabanastre so that Balthier and Fran left, but haven't dealt with Old Dalan yet.
I tend to do the "research" for games before I play them to map out what items I am going to get when or what the best equipment as at certain points, but I must admit that this is GENIUS! I would have never thought of using Garamsythe to level up, although I did think of fighting the wild saurian to get the heavy armor it drops.
You can't get the heavy armor from the wild saurian just outside of Rabanastre in the Estersand. You can only get it from the wild saurians across the river toward Mosphoran Highwaste, the bone mail. At the same time this part is accessible (right after getting the dawn shard), the maximillian, golden skullcap, and other top-rank or near-top-rank items become accessible as well, if you know how to get them and can face the high level enemies there. My GameFAQs guide explains more.
You won't be able to encounter such enemies without making a lot more story progress. It will start to take a while to level up, 70 minutes for the last level.
Which do u recomend disable or immobilize cuz i found out the hard way that disable only works on malboros and the frogs are immune so should i stick with immoblize.
Use disable on the malboros when there isn't a frog nearby. Use immobilize on the frogs or anytime a frog is nearby. Either stage 8-4 or 8-5 explains this.
You can, but you'll no longer be able to make use of the 100-hour method which makes all 6 characters at level 99. 4 at 99 in half that time is much better and is more than enough for pretty much everything. I'd recommend that you do go with the immobilize/poison route for the burning bow.
In my first play of FF12, I got Penelo at level 35 or so. I got her again around the 50's and she started in the 50's. She, thus, should start on 99 when you get her again.
With the serenity license (the one in the top left corner of the augments), level 40 (as stated in stage 7 or early in 8) is the minimum recommended level. Immobilize and full HP, along with that license, is a must as you otherwise don't stand much of a chance.
Storywise, this is all before you first visit an aerodrome, before Basch officially joins the party (he has, however, joined only as a guest). I've reached level 99 before even visiting the palace in Rabanastre. It takes twice as long, but instead of 4 characters being level 99 (Balthier and Fran are left out), all 6 are level 99 upon first getting them.
You need the "Martyr" license (the top left corner of the augments section) and full HP in order to otherwise guarantee it. This was explained and covered in the previous segments (probably stage 4 or 6, likely 6).
Of the nearly 100 total hours I've spent leveling up in this area (total over several games), I have never seen that. That area, however, is dangerous because of the elemental and it's sleep spell (get hit with it without using an alarm clock at the right time, and you're pretty much doomed - game over).
Yeah, It's true but is easy as long the water element doesn't see you casting a spell. I killed that element once with the quickening and It gave mi like five thousand exp and 4 AP. It's not worth it I know but I just wanted it to give it a try.
Quickenings would indeed work, but, get hit with "sleep" and you're in for serious trouble. The elementals, as powerful as they are, are surprisingly worthless for experience. With a burning bow on 2 characters, the big ball elementals, which takes 5 minutes to defeat, is a fun battle, at least to me. I've had the guest (name forgotten) fight a salamand entite while heading for Raithwall's tomb and that guest only got 0's whereas the others took 5 minutes to defeat it (heavy use of cura)....
I actually find it more entertaining having extreme power. Felling the first, optional demon wall, for example, in barely a second. It's probably a world record or very close to it. The second demon wall is felled in 2 hits, the absolute fewest possible. Disgaea is of great interest to me because, unlike FF where there is a damage limit, there doesn't seem to be any with Disgaea. I got bored of it nearly 300 hours in just starting to do 7-figure damage (this requires special conditions).
well, just think of it like this, people just look for a way to surpass most of the game. one person started it, and others want to make their own rememberable way to do it too. it like a pastime.
4:40 The Water Elemental appears there only when you've spent a certain amount of time in the Waterway without leaving. From memory I think the needed amount is 30 minutes.
what part r u on????? and how effective will a flame stalf be on these monsters???

hey ulillillia, i was wondering if there r certain ways you can raise your chances for a critical hit (armor, weapons, magic, etc)?

Unfortunately, I don't know. It's also been over a year since I last touched FF12 as well....

What is the point of grinding like this? it's boring, and playing with overpowered characters is lame.
