If I may share some additional tips: If there's no rod around, use anything made of thick solid metal. In my case, I used a spoon handle instead (it's made of thick solid stainless-steel, and as sturdy as a rod). Plus, you don't really have to hit the tag repeatedly that much, a few strong blows on the tag would do the job very well too. Do be careful not to hit your thumb, lol!

@MurphDawgProductions I should verify, I worked in retail for awhile, and when we had to take these off we put them to what was just a magnant. The magnant pulls the bearings outward and the pin is released. The bearings hold the pin in via little notches on the pin. Just take a small but some what powerful magnant (like from a computer speaker), put it on the side and it will release.

It's just filled with a dye so your newly stolen clothes will be ruined and a dead giveaway if you're seen wearing them after trying to remove the tag (and getting dye on them). I was on vacation in England and bought a cute little jacket suit on sale I only realized when I got back to JAMAICA that the bloody tag is still on. I've had that jacket over 4 months not able to wear it because of the tag, I'm so glad I found this video turns out to be the exact same tag worked like a charm. THANKS UPLOADER
