Chante has been a hard working sister for a long time. She is a fine vocalist and an entertainer. Shes in a completely different catagory then JLO who is really mainly a dancer. Diddy or Rodney did Chante a favor because that song sounded too shallow/pop and was not the caliber of song for her. "Love taken over"was a jazzy and classy song that will never go out of style.

Up close...I went for my autograph and she actually spoke with me for a few minutes! I don't think there's anyone who thinks J-Lo is a good singer. She's a good entertainer but when it comes to the actual business of singing, she's no match for an accomplished singer like Chante. Having said that, I don't blame J-Lo. Chante has been a hard working sister for a long time. She is a fine vocalist and an entertainer. Shes in a completely different catagory then JLO who is really mainly a dancer. Diddy or Rodney did Chante a favor because that song sounded too shallow/pop and was not the caliber of song for her. "Love taken over"was a jazzy and classy song that will never go out of style.

Interesting. I don't think Diddy is listed as a producer on that song so I find it odd that he had anything to do with how Jennifer Lopez got it.
Plus she's like the third person to say she had that song first. Maybe Rodney Jerkins just sold it to a different act daily :\
