80s born, 90s raised...even though i was a child i, am so blessed to have been able to witness this time in gospel music! i prefer listening to choir of the 80s/90s more than anything on the radio today.
used to Play Bass for the cat that wrote this...John Askew, back in '91 in Atlanta Ga @ Beulah Baptist Church( Dekalb Co.)...Great Musician ( Keys...)////
Those were the days! ...But John was a good Brother-RIP
@SHADOWFOX1446 -That's what I said...John did Write this song....I met him & got a chance to serve on that music staff with him in Atlanta up until he got sick from HIV complications...Sad.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COGIC all the way....there was another choir that poseted this sone Memphis Praise Fellowship Mass Choir and I could tell they werent cogic by the way they were movin and clappin...THERE IS A DIFFERENCE PEOPLE
I can remember being in town visiting from Los Angeles,Cali one Sunday night for the Showers of Blessings nightly broadcast. The following Sunday night they had a recording where Shun Pace sang "Just to behold his face"...there are wooden floors underneath the pews and when I tell you that whole church used to shake,..rock,..rattle and roll ...Please believe me...lol...To God be the Glory...Blessings to all!!!
Man! I heard this back in the 90's and had no idea this came out of ATL or COGIC. Now I was raised COGIC and live right outside ATL and so sad I can't go hear this choir. But it was and still is the jam. I don't know why we leave songs behind and don't pick them back up. We're singing praises to the never changing God. His praises remain.
yea, I love this song, I remeber it as a young child, I use to love the part on my right on my left in the middle, on the balcony, lol... this was and still is the jam...!!!
wow! is all i can say...i was there...about 8 years old at the time...sitting in the left section....about 5 rows back from the drummer!...lovin every minute. man we were killin back in the late 80's early 90's...SOOO many memories...R.I.P. Evangelist Irene McIver (Kirksey) my mom, who was also preset for the recording
you and me both....I miss my church soo much! this is where i was raised, didn't know any other way. something went down with pastor greer on the business side and he ended up being forced out...and twenty years later its still never reached this plateau
The pastor of the church at the time was Bishop Jonathan Greer, II and it was and is located in Atlanta, GA. Bishop Greer now pastors Cathedral of Divine Love Fellowship United in Christ in the same city.
WHEW, What can I say...This songs was favorite, Cathedral of Faith was the best choir back in the day... this video is featured on the "Just Jesus" album in 1993, the song is orginally recorded and found on 1989 Savoy Records release, "He's Worthy"
Dr. Maurice Culpepper is what we call him at The Citadel of Hope.....he is a legend in the gospel music industry he is over our Praise Power and Deliverence Choir at The Citadel of Hope COGIC. Nathan Simmons is our founder and Angelic Simmons is our pastor.

I wonder if God is God or is the COGIC GOD? on YouTube I read a lot of Idol worship when it comes to COGIC. Sad and pitiful.
