  • How do these planes get the water? It's not like prop planes that touch down on a lake. Do they get filled up before takeoff?

  • Thumb up if the first thing u noticed was PlanesTV.com

  • just saying ..... that all dried poop and piss

  • I dont know why they drop it from so high. Its likely that 60% percent of the water will evaporate before it reaches the fire. Especially with the insane temps California really has. Everybody says "Ohhh California has the best weather in the world." Which isnt always the case. Just the other day it was 110. And im about 15 minutes from the ocean.

  • @TheBassguy1 This was strictly a demonstration. You may have noticed there was no fire beneath the plane.

  • @topcover2000 I watch the news. I see these planes and helicopters dropping water. And yes they drop it from around that altitude.

  • @TheBassguy1 I live in Colorado. I don't have to watch the news, I can look out my window. For accuracy and effectiveness, a lower drop works best, when terrain and other safety considerations allow. Just yesterday,a helicopter dropped a 350 gallon bucket of water along a fenceline next to a house from no more than 75-100 feet up. It saved the house. That was at the Douglas County fire, in the Franktown area. I'm done with this thread.

  • @topcover2000 Ah, Here in Southern California, the terrain does not allow. The annual fires take place in the hills and mountains where terrain is difficult for people on foot, let-alone aircraft.

  • Man telling his wife, "You want me to water the yard! FINE!!"

  • i wonder how long it takes to fill this sucker back up!

  • that´s my favourit FireFighter Plan ! it´is sooo beautiful ! like a passengern plan but not so boring ! great clip ! five stars !

  • thay call it Tanker 10 because the other DC-10 tanker starts with 9 as well.

  • What a wast of tax payer money.

  • Not if you live in So Cal!

  • i thought that was a fuel dump !!

  • putting out wildfires

  • whats water bombing for??

  • @ffuuuucccckk US government has annual water war

  • 0:33

  • every time i see a plane or heli drop water it all looks like mist and ineffective to putting out a fire.

  • i think they fly a lot lower when there is an actual fire so it doesnt evaporate, not sure.

  • Looks that way, but it is very effective.

  • Why don't they use Evergreen's 747 in this role? Its ready to go---this DC-10 along with the 747 could snuff those Santa Barbara fires in 8 hours!

  • children in africa would die for that water!

  • That's true...

  • 4 they THE WATER ISN'T SO IMPORTANT..stupid fucked

  • lmao, i honestly couldnt care less about your opinion so shut the fuck up. Thanks smartass

  • to be honest i think the people in the middle of a forest fire might care slightly more...

  • wow bigtime capacity

no more fire issues in california

imagine the hoses they need to fill it up quickly...

  • Some other FB's fill up their tanks by skimming over/ intaking the water from lakes, etc..

  • Is this what the airforce does for themselves on a hot day?

  • why in hell

  • this plane is stationed in california and i love seeing it i live in the city its at and i have acces to the airport to check it out its one impressve machine

  • But can a plane like that get more water in a hurry? It looks like a one time deal. Can it land in a stream or ocean, and take off again?

  • They have planes where it can scoop up more water. Because they need it for a forest fire.

  • kinda surprising seeing the engines under the ship. I would expect to see the engines on top if it was going to go back into the water.

  • With the capacity it has, going back into the water is a non-issue. I guess Evergreen International isn't the only one that thought of converting a jumbo jet into a water bomber.

  • He should go up higher on a cold day and make it snow :D

  • haha

  • @CrushedProductions it would still be water by the time it hit the ground. the snow would warm up as it falls and ultimately turn into water again.

  • "BRING THE RAIN!"

  • some kids had a water balloon fight an daddy came to play with themXD

  • 10,000 gallons right there. Tanker 910 is one impressive machine.

  • there i was thinking i was going to see the ultimate water ballon attack lol

  • now i know where all your waste goes on an airoplane ^_^

  • this dc-10 must be comming to the end of it flying life why they made her a water bomber-i image the scarp yard next-it would have been a cheap buy airgraft cost wise

  • it would be fun standing underneath it

  • if you dont care, why did you reply then?

and i dont understand what your reply had to do with my comment

  • That has to be the most expensive water bomber flying.

  • thats alot of water...

  • Ughh, That bloody toilet is leaking again.

  • hmmm... easy (but expensive) way to water the plants! :)

  • yes, I do not really get the point with this!

  • dc-10 looks so odd with da water tank attached to the bottom

  • that would suck...

  • No, it's real. Just Google "Tanker 910".

  • it is

  • yo dicks animated, you moron

  • It's real. I'm a pilot, I would know.

  • he's right, it is real it flew right over my house(so-cal wild fires)
