I soloed this with my hunter as well, but i trapped it so it couldn't get to me. I had a hill between us so i just used ranged attacks, i was too far for his poisons. took a while, seeing as i was only about a lvl 61. but I took it down, by myself. haha.
That was bobbins mate. Utter crap. If you want to know how to solo this big beastie with ANY class char and at the 1st available level, check out bigboneworm's video.
if you were smart enough to read the hints and tips that u get at lvl 1 then u would know that you can get extra bars like what he has by going to the interface by pressing esc and go to ACTION BARS check everything and u has bars. kthxbai
tried this guy as a lvl 70 druid... he creamed me.... tried it with your trick, took less than 5k damage. killed the clefthoof, summoned then instantly went flight form and flew away (u have to be fast) then went down when there was 20 secs left and tanked him

haha still working after the patch 24-05-2007 did it with a 64 shaman, i reicarnated w8 till my timer said 1:45 jumped in and outheald him till he died
its rather easy, wait fro the big one to summon, run away so a rock gets stuck between him and you(one of theose BIG rocks folks) and back up, you dont need to die, juat so long as you hit him once, when he despawns in 2 mins, you can loot and take your rewards
the same thing works if you run at him.. hit him a few times and run. He will keep spawning on your 6 and eventually die over time. Health Pots, Bandages and good kiting will save your life long enough to beat him.
Still Work Dude .. First i tryied to kite him didn't work .. after that i did feign death ress pet go back to that guy Eyes of the beast aggroed with him runned back and after he died he just standed there and shooted me and after a moment he just dyied

this was the easiest way to do it you dont even have to die just use fd (feign death0, heal, rez pet heal pet, and repeat till worm is dead.
