it doesn't take away guns though. it restricts the illicit movement, sale, distribution, etc., of firearms (and explosives) and requires that guns have a serial number imprinted on them when they are manufactured (for tracing purposes). nowhere does it say that you can't have a gun

True, but the taxes and red tape it will impose will make it near impossible to own or purchase a firearm. You will need a special license to reload your own ammo. Each time you reload! The fact of the matter is, this is not how we amend laws in this country, we have a process, if the current admin wants to put these practices into effect then they should go about it the right way, not going around the constitution by signing a treaty.
