"Love is like a butterfly, chase it, it will elude you, sit calmly,...it will come sit on your shoulder"
I chased the butterfly, but she said she was "too busy for a relationship", I never gave up,Chivalry isnt dead, I waited for her, .......and as much as the grass "always seems greener on the other side" that depends, on whether youve looked down at the grass your already standing on. AANd im now Engaged,..to that amazing Woman. Shakespeare eat your heart out.
my Pretty Lady is still out there somewhere......she walks through the mists of time and haunts my dreams......the colour has faded to grey....I let the garden wilt.....
I heard this on the "Step into Liquid DVD " And I went on a Mission to find out who this was, VAST has become a favorite , This music has so much Depth , Width & Height. VAST is a perfect name for it, I love the Visual Audio Sensory Theater meaning of it too.
I will keep buying these CD's as long as they keep making more.
I bought the first Vast CD about two weeks after it was released.. I guess about ten years ago.. and I thought everybody was going to know this band..I thought they would have become much more mainstream.. just glad they are still putting out music!
@jhsplace It's a shame isn't it?I think it's one of the greatest albums that I have ever heard. When I first bought this I was so blown away and still am.
Does anyone have any information on the video? Who directed it? Who's the videographer? Who acted in it? Where was it filmed? You know, the good trivia.
Man why did they have to change to soft mellow acustic shit with there last couple albums the first 2 were pretty fuckin sweet it was like, industrial and experimental rock, but then they went downhill afterwards, hopefully he'll go back to making this type of music in the future, he did say in an interview that this was his favorite album he made so my fingers are crossed.
It's called progressing. Nobody wants the same album 5 times in a row. A musician usually will make what they feel like, instead of what the fans want.
u can progress easily with industrial rock manson and nin do it an none of there albums sound one bit alike each have there own themes and sounds, u can progress in good ways and bad ways i just don;t like the current sound of VAST, thats just my opinion.
Please see the video I did with Vast's Here with the movie Reign of Fire. Just a little hobby I have and I'm new at it, so its not great, but enjoy it and the others I've made!
I just discovered this song last night. I was up at 5 a.m. watching the show "Angel" on TNT. It was an old rerun of season 1 - Episode 2 lol. It took some tenacity to figure out what it was, but the internet and google make everything possible :)
o wow i remember this song from a show called angel. i remember thinking when i first heard it in the show god dam i need to get this song. now years later i hear it again and im like eh, its alright
It's not a specific "song", it's a motive, you'd probably have to dig into some bulgarian native stuff. For example "The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices" CD-s.
song: pilence pee (), album: the mystery of bulgarian voices, by bulgarian state choir or something like that, just look for mystery of bulgarian voices and youl find it
it belongs to eastern culture. that style is alive in Serbia, but i won't say it's serbian... it probably belongs to Romanian tribes and the other people took it
this is a good song but the video i dont really understand is he just runnig into the same girl over and over agin or is being reminded of her as he runs through the crowd of the gilrs that remind him of her? and when he puls her fomr the water is she dead or alive that hes thinking about?
Not much to understand .. he had a premonition that something was wrong w/his Girl. The girls at the trainstation ,imo, are just the constant reminders of her and no, i am pretty certain shes already dead when he finally arrives.
snupcho, you have a very SMALL mind. Do you know how awesome this song is? Dare to compare VAST to Metallica is just fucking stupid. Listen to MORE alternative and see who is out there first. Your brain left for class, go BE WITH IT. VAST rocks. =D
I was replying to somebody else comparing them to Metallica'a riffs, it was not my concept, you moron, and don't tell me how small my mind is, because when I've been listening to alternative rock with incorporated Native Bulgarian sounds, you weren't probably born yet. So try harder next time.
Does anybody know of any full examples of purely the 'bulgarien' style of music in this song? All I can think is of maybe the Eastern music within the Ghost In The Shell films... and although totally disimilar the music of Ustad Shujaat Khan has the same kind of traditional beauty to it
And many bands and performers have done such mixes with bulgarian sounds and rhythms way before these guys - Dredg, Steve Vai, even Ministry (check "Dreamsong" on "The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" album) etc. No offence anyway, this song is cool. (These comments were replies to TheFifthH0rseman).
I'm asking this, because the band is new to me. It's apparent that it is a part of the song, this example with metallica's riffs is stupid. I just tried to find out is it just in this song that they mix bulgarian sounds or it's a kind of style they are trying to develop. Because stripped without the bulgarian sample, this song is nothing special.
And Bohemian Rhapsody isn't anything special without the operatic piece. And November Rain is nothing without the piano. And Whole Lotta Love is nothing without the riffs. What i'm getting at is this....Appreciate the final product...Don't dissect it until it's not unique anymore. John Crosby made this song to be heard in it's final form, not cut up and dissected by a music snob.
That singing in the background is beautiful, what would you call it? How could I find more of it to listen to? It sounds kind of Japanese or Chinese, like something from Ghost in the Shell
man.. this def my fav song of all time.. ever since the first time i heard it when i was about 10 yrs old when my dad blasted it in his car i've loved it
This comment has received too many negative votesshow

Ap3nKnul 3 years ago 2
That "heeeheeee eeieee eiie" is most probably cut out from the actual words because they didn't want bulgarian lyrics in the song.
Pretty much what they did in the soundtrack for the movie "300" - they took a bulgarian song and cut out the vowels only :P

Hmm, I was wrong.
It turns out that in that part they're actually singing "Ei, gidi" (repeatedly) and it's from the bulgarian song "Pilentze" from the album "Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares & Muse - Innocent Voices".
