If tv is a form of control then isnt the computer and the internet the same thing as tv. People spend hours on the computer. The things they read on the internet they believe to be true. Youtube is basically internet tv. If you stoped watching tv but continue spending hours on the internet isnt basically the same thing.
True, however it's easy to control what goes though television, youtube is much harder. NBC won't have negative news of a company that's giving them money for instance. Now, Youtube is much harder to control, and really the whole internet is hard to control. You can't censor what may be the truth when someone else will upload the same as well.
Also, the internet has more uses than just information. Filing taxes, talking to friends, playing games, etc. as opposed to television is really only used for entertainment and sadly babysitting. Though anyone who believes everything they hear/read is a tool, I'll won't fight against that...

u didnt understand me. i said that because im angry of the fact that were still doing nothing when william cooper, jf kennedy & others died for telling the truth. that shows us that theyr hiding something. not only that, theyr murderers. we still want to be ignorant, like we enjoy to live this way. why cant we not see things getting worse? because majority of ppl havnt got enough time to see whats wrong. all we have time for is to work like robots. thy think this is a way to live....

Let me add some views:1)We get"manipulated"from the first mintues of our lives on-mostly first by our mothers,later MAYBE by our fathers,then by friends in the kindergarten,in school,by happy+sad experiences.IT IS just like that.TV allover has a very regrettable quality,there´s a lot of stuff on it i don´t really need,which is for the masses,still there are some valid moments here+there on TV...

The fallacy in this argument is in assuming there is a designed human purpose behind television to control us.
Yes it is true that television has a major influence on our lives. However, the fact is we are being influenced everyday by our society on a macro and micro level. How we dress, how we act, how we think, even what we believe is largely determined by the group (society. We are all in a sense being brainwashed. Things that are considered harmful to the group are condemned and Vice Versa

thats what you are meant to believe but none of your fashion, how you act or what you believe comes from society at the root. it is sent down from above and almost everybody conforms to their will because they think it to be just a natural evolution of society when it is really almost entirely a manufactured way of indoctrination. you should look up predictive programming to see how it works.

I am not sure what you mean in your third sentence. It doesn't appear that something is influencing or indoctrinating humanity. It could be we are being mislead, and that this force has made it appear that societies developed for evolutionary reasons. However, it not more likely to be the former? Unless you have evidence to the contrary?...

If tv is a form of control then isnt the computer and the internet the same thing as tv. People spend hours on the computer. The things they read on the internet they believe to be true. Youtube is basically internet tv. If you stoped watching tv but continue spending hours on the internet isnt basically the same thing.

True, however it's easy to control what goes though television, youtube is much harder. NBC won't have negative news of a company that's giving them money for instance. Now, Youtube is much harder to control, and really the whole internet is hard to control. You can't censor what may be the truth when someone else will upload the same as well.

Also, the internet has more uses than just information. Filing taxes, talking to friends, playing games, etc. as opposed to television is really only used for entertainment and sadly babysitting. Though anyone who believes everything they hear/read is a tool, I'll won't fight against that...

bravo jdub181. ive tried to warn my family that all there views are made from an illusory reality created by T.V. if they want to form an original opinion they might try not watching t.v. for 2 weeks . Then listen to the top 5 most important current events (read by me) & give their opinion , then how it differs from news media. we have 3 days a week of no tv ,my family is much closer for it. we also have one nite of no electrical items, just candles reading , board games and BBQ.
