Depends on what your preference is, there is no best of anything, its all preference. I find the earthwings to unlock real easy, and slide very consistently seeing how incredibly hard they are, however they do not lock up that easily, so if you want control, you may not get it.

Nick Harris (Crappysurfer2) won the slide contest, along with Mason Holden (Doctor Worm), Brian Peck (Sofa King) and another slider from NoVA. It was a really chill day of skating.

This slide competition was on a hill in a suburban area of Northern Virginia near Reston, VA. Adam Colton was racing in the downhill event earlier in the afternoon (see NoVA downhill video) and stuck around to watch the slide competition -- his face appears briefly right at the end of this video, but he wasn't a slider.
