We as muslims have the Holy Quran (our Book) to remind us to glorify and praise our Lord. What better way to remember him than with His own words rather than a song which was created by a human being. Music is a waste of time and will not benefit us. As for Nasheeds they are good but God encourages us to read the Quran. The Quran and prayer is the best way to be close to Him. Shouldn't it be the same for you with the Bible? Or is your music more important than your book of "God"?

However,the vast majority of Christian songs are directed in praise and worship to our creator,and we are instructed by him, to praise and worship thru word,prayer and nasheeds(songs).This is only our natural response to honor him for his goodness and mercy to us. Doesn't your religion encourage the same?
