@blockmasterscott Thailand and Indonesia have been stepping up their martial arts movies for the past few years, but the production values and writing/acting still suck (but getting better). Also Scott Adkins is probably the best martial arts star in the West right now.
But you're right. Nobody is going to be able to touch late-70s to mid-90s HK martial arts movies. Most actors these days are too pretty and delicate to do their own stunts and insurance companies wont take the chance either. =(
All these great stars in one movie unbelievable !!! Two people i'd love too have seen in this are. Jet Li " The One " and Donny Yen " IP Man " I had a beautiful collection of Hong Kong flicks with all these stars, but my house was robbed and my collection was one of the things they took. Iron Monkey, Tai Chi Master, Mr. Vampire, The Bride with White Hair, Shougun Assassin, 5 Fingers of Death, and the 5 Deadly Venoms. All that and more gone. :0)-

I miss these movies from the 80s with no special effects. We will never see this quality of martial arts movies ever again.
