I know, the character knows, many gay men know how it feels to long for a lover or cope with loneliness but the the director portrayed this emotion with such sappiness and literal expression. Using Robert Shaw’s Requiem/Lacrimosa didn’t help either. Instead of feeling empathy I sighed and rolled my eyes.

This short film is absolutely amazing! I first saw it on TV and then had to run to youtube to find it! Everything is perfect! The music, the concept, the art direction, how simple, yet powerful it is. And let's be honest: the actor (Pedro) is so increadibly beautiful. OMG!!! I find it hard to believe that looking like that he'd have a hard time finding company in his bed. LOL!
this was really touching, i'm sure deep down we can all relate to this beautiful man with such an enormus soul. i know i have felt like this before. thank you lance for exposing this and making us aware of such a beautiful thing

Almost every single guy/girl out there can relate to the profound loneliness, and has been drivin to dream up the perfect companion. This movie captures those desires and puts an end, if only figuratively, to the pain - for those who can understand it...
Given the musical accompaniment is the Lachrymosa from Mozart's requiem I think that the pain involved is more likely a devoutedly missed dead partner and is all the more profound and sad for that

2 Very Minor Constructive Criticisms: Single short shot w/ cigarette might not be necessary (given the stigma of smoking and absolute purity of the rest of the piece). Would have loved credits of some sort in the final few frames of black - kudos to all involved.
