  • I think this cat's thinking, ooooh dinner and a show :3

  • How do u guys leave ur birds so open? Wud it not poop?

  • Idk my cockatiels r scared my puppy n so i dnt let them fly around the room seeing this it's like funny to see a cat n birds together

  • that is the worst version of "Pop Goes the Weasel" I have ever heard! laffin

  • so cute!!! i like cocatiels

  • My birds love anything made out of Balsa wood. They shred it like paper.

  • SINGING IS A GOOD WAY TO KEEP FROM GETTING EATEN.

  • Hehehehe that's so cute!

  • brave cockatiel!

  • im making all of my birds toys, and i was wondering if silk ribbon was ok for her. im getting her in a week, so im trying to get her cage ready.

  • @KraftyKayla I'm sure it won't hurt. But birds like their toys made of wooden twigs so they can shred them in pieces. One of my bird's favorite toys for example was a toothpick that he was munching on until it was a bunch of crumbled splinters, lol.

  • @peterdowg oh ok awesome. i was a little skeptical at first to maker her toys out of wooden things because i watched another video and the owner said that her bird actually swallowed the wood and she died because of it. and the poor bird was pooping out wooden splinters. But it is ok to let them play with wood??

  • @KraftyKayla Well, it was ok for my birds. But just to be safe, get her something thicker than a toothpick, like a small wicker basket or something. It will a nest and a toy at the same time. And again, every bird is different, so you just have to see what your birdie likes best.

  • @peterdowg Awesome. thank you so much :)

  • may i ask how you introduced yours pet? im very interested in getting a cocktiel but have 2 cats, was thinking a spray bottle if my cat got to interested (my dog is good) they are both males right?

  • @itsjessica1984 Spray bottle always help, but make sure that the kitty doesn't see that you are holding the bottle, or he will know that it sprays only from your hand. The way I introduced them was holding the kitty close to the cage and pet him. But somehow none of our cats really cared from the very beginning about the birds. They somehow knew it was family. They still try to get the birds outside though but never the inside ones.

  • Aww, what a good kitty! It looks like it's trying to pet the bird, haha, sweeettt <3

  • cat: "I am not amused by your shenanagins."

  • so u let the cat around the bird? Is that safe?

  • @SHIBBYiPANDA depends on the bird and the cat; some get along really well; most...not so much

  • Once a cat snuck into my house and went up to my birds room. Riki was in the cage, But the cat managed to grab her wing through the bars. She ripped it of and now Riki is missing lots of her wing. We got her to the vet on time. She stayed there 2 nights. Riki can still not fly.

I really don't recommend having birds and dogs or cats together.

And i know this video was uploaded ages ago but in case you still have them together you should probably stop.

    RikiKat :D

  • @RikiKat That is because it was a cat for which the birds were not family so he treated them as such. Our cats are also trying as much as they can to get the birds outside, but never ever the ones inside since they know that they are their peers.

  • lol the cat was looking for the off switch.

  • Nice birds and cage !

  • I dont know if i would challenge the cat's instincts so directly, but thats you

  • How awesome is this, I love them all. LOL..

  • bird thinks: maybe i can sing her to sleep- so she won't eat me :)

  • Aw that's a really cute song she has : )

  • 1:13 - Skill.

  • Only a matter of time...

  • Chip is like im gonna warm up to fight this damn cat >.>

  • kitty says "I high-five your face!"

  • those birds are lucky to be alive

  • Play him off with some accompaniment, keyboard cat!

I have 6 cats and 1 parrot and they all live together and share the same space as I !! they are all amazing!!

  • parrot + cat......= carrot?

  • I know how you feel losing a bird, I used to have one when I was about 11, it was my first ever pet. I loved it so much until one day I was at a cousins house (slept over) got a call from my mom saying that it is very sick (unknown) the next morning she said it died on her hand and I wasn't there to care for it :'(

  • This is just like Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the cockatiels are Ron and Harry, while the cat is the three headed dog they try to charm in order to get through the door it guards! :D

  • thats is adorkable !!!!!!

  • my bird is named kiki

  • Proof that music soothes the savage beast.

  • are you going to teach your cat to sing too? :)

  • @HalfAzNPersuasioN What are you talking about?? He already knows how to sing. He actually taught the bird his singing... But of course... ;-)

  • Cat: Damn sekurite cameraz

  • Snooze button, Snooze button. Some one broke the snooze button on this thing!

  • oh LOL when cockatiel came one step closer, I distinctly saw the cat look at the camera with a "Are you freaking kidding me" expression on his face. xD

  • Sing well, and I might spare your lives :)

  • i do not know at first the feeling of losing a pet. but after I watched one video, I realized and by your post, i felt it more sadder.

  • @1pomii I'm so truly sorry to hear that. Only thing I can say is, please stay strong.

  • @peterdowg I understand how you must feel for you cocktiel that passed away. I too had a cocktiel that looked exactly like your Chip, unfortunatly he too passed away when two possibly red-tailed hawks saw him and snatched him and flew off with him in their talons. I feel so sad for him I even have his name as my every password for youtube and facebook. Anyways i am sorry to hear that your cocktiel has passed away because he looked just like mine.:( -Jlooe

  • @jlooe123 That is so incredibly sad and tragic. I'm really sorry for your loss, and thanks for your sympathy about Chip...

  • My grandmother was battling alzheimers for years, and during those years I took care of her cockatiel, Tweetybird. She ended up dying last year and a couple weeks later he developed cancer and died as well. They really are such wonderful pets. I'm sorry about your loss. ):

  • Peterdowg I'm so sorry to read about your bird Chip, i am so scare also because I have 2 and i don't want to imagine something like that happens to us.

  • I''m so sorry for your lost. I had a cockatiel for 15 years and he died last year in october. In all of a sudden he was sick and I went to the vet with him but he couln't find out what was wrong with him. One week later he was death. It has been a year but still I'm not over it even now it is very hard to accept that he's gone. I have burried him in my garden under the tree where he used to sit in. I have a new one but he can never replace my love of my life tommie.

  • 'I don't taste good, but my little friend is tender" And again....

  • awesome!

  • Cat: Dam sekuritee camraz

  • 86 people dislike animals sad :(

  • Cat: Owner say no stop, pestering me! STUPID BIRD!

    Bird: *Whistle happily*

    Cat: I'll eat you!

    Bird: I'll tell Mommy!

  • Sorry for your loss. I know the pain of losing a pet. I lost both of my parakeets earlier this year

  • Poor Chip, rest in peace. I've had a few 'tiels, but my baby was Mosie, a female whiteface, who I had for 10 years. She was a chronic egg-layer and my avian vet could never get it under control. She died in my hands and I literally made a 'shrine' for that bird in the back yard. But Mosie would sail down from her cage and land on my Dachshund's back and she (the dog) would put up with it. My dog could have eaten that bird, but she never did.

  • My point is that, to you skeptics out there, birds and dogs and even cats CAN live in harmony. So don't be so judgmental. Peterdowg obviously loves his birds, so do you really think he'd put his birds' lives at risk deliberately? Relax.

  • @Linda7647 Thank you for your sympathy. Im so sorry to hear about Mosie. Chip also died in my hand. I will never forget this...

  • @peterdowg It's hard. But I think about all the joy that bird brought to me. She was spoiled rotten and she deserved to be ;)

  • @peterdowg did u declaw the cat? Thats terrible if you did

  • So sorry about your little "Chip"~ my cockatiel, Chris, was such a character! I will never, ever forget him...

  • 19lbs! holy cow :| that's one impressive cat lol./

  • This is incredible! Beautiful... and so peaceful. I wish human beings compared to this...

  • @insidexistance Heh... not possible. Human intelligence isn't always a good thing...

When a cat is a kitten, it does what a cat does. When a cat is an adult, it still does what a cat does. When a dog is a puppy, it does what a dog does. When a dog is an adult, it still does what a dog does.

When a human is a baby, it does what babies do. When a human is an adult, it acts like a complete and total asshole.

We are the SUPERIOR race? I think not. We get dumber with age.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

  • @s6y9l Thank you. Cancer is such a nasty thing and our little baby had to go through it. We will never get over it :-(

  • The bird sings beautifully! But never in my life would i leave my birds that close to a cat!

  • I'm surprised your cat didn't kill the bird. My cats would have.

  • @henrybudgie Actually, how dare you to insult me with your stupid comment? Do you even know the arrangement?

  • @peterdowg exactly!!! it doesn't seem that those cockatiels are in any imminent (or any other) danger whatsoever. I have a feeling that you love your pets way too much to ever "jeopardize" their safety.

  • @peterdowg i know hes stupid!

  • @henrybudgie your not very intelligent anyone that IS RESPONSIBLE whouldnt put an AGGRESSIVE cat near the birds think before you post stupid comments

  • @henrybudgie Lesson learned I hope, think before you say something, it doesn't help when you do it afterwards.

  • @henrybudgie Do you see how gentle that cat is being with the bird? If that cat really wanted to, it could have bitchslapped that bird right off the top of the cage from the get-go. But it didn't. So freakin relax and go find something constructive to do with yourself, alright?

  • @henrybudgie Being irresponsible has nothing to do with a bird getting cancer. I lost both of my parakeets earlier this year and I was VERY responsible when it came to caring for my pets.

  • @henrybudgie i let my bird stand on top of my dog and she doesnt care. If u can trus ur pets enough 2 let ur birds next 2 them they must be gentle.

  • I had a 'tiel called Kiki too and he was stolen :(

  • That bird is a snake-charmer of sorts!

  • Cat: "Go on, amuse me."

  • I don't think cats like high-pitched noises. I'm surprised he didn't attack the cockatiel, or just run away.

  • Cockatiel: Whistle, whistle, whistle. Cat: How the heck do you turn this crap off???
