  • oh wow, wait till the panelists hear who's been made mayor of london.

  • Amos earned his appearence fee.

  • Four people didn't get any coconuts :)

  • this is the ultimate lineup except you need to replace stephen k amos with david mitchell

  • Boris is funny XD

  • 1:03 isnt that the "I hate Iceland Bloke"

  • 40% less than £12,000 is a lot of money, Boris (mentioning no wonga!)

  • Most politicians look serious and are actually stupid. Boris looks stupid and is actually serious.

  • @sethkasketch Horse or no horse he is still a cunt.

  • @Photonzos No denying you shagged a horse then...

  • he is a cunt

  • Whoa paul in a tie.

  • Clive Anderson looks like a gimp

  • Have I heard that green goddess joke before?

  • I do love Boris Johnson. He has a charisma that any politician could only dream of. Must admit I've never been a big Stephen K. Amos fan though =/

  • Anyone else notice how Hislop and Anderson keep making quips at the same time, and then making each other piss themselves simultaneously?

  • is boris's way of speaking usual for an upper class englishman?

  • @Nilaikx Easy answer, no. Most end up sounding like Ian Hislop or putting some ridiculous "working class" accent.

  • i love Boris, not for the right reasosn, he seems to be londons answer to George Bush..

  • does he do jokes about scoucers

  • if im frank, boris would do a better job than gordon ever would, even though no one can understand what hes on about. if he ran for PM then i think people would vote for him on the basis of is personallity rather than his brains. and considering the only real opposition is Cameron, he probably win aswell

  • @butchmclovin so... ok- personality politics really is not a good thing. Boris Johnson really doesn't know what he's doing, as his appointment of Veronica Wadley shows. Policy is more important. How could you possibly know that he'd do a better job than Brown? Since Brown really hasn't been that bad.

  • my name is boris johnson =) best opening line ever... and i loved the opening titles - the full boris =D

  • Boris is a great character, shame he's a tory.

  • i think thats the problem really he's just a character designed to make the torys look funny and less outdated. I hate my self for likeing him. It just doesn't make sense. How could someone with joy wit and despite his clumsyness, not a bad head on his shoulder's willingly be a tory mp?

  • @QuiteDrunkOnGin well said!

  • bah, labour.

  • @Kotassium I'm not Labour, I'm Anti-Tory.

  • 04:41 Fewer coconuts, not less. Am not being pedantic, but Ian's sufficiently well educated not to make such a mistake.

  • @xraycortina 'I am' not being pedantic, not 'Am' being pedantic.

  • Boris went to Eton and Oxford. I'm sure he knows something... sometimes.

  • Yes, he likely knows the latin for "potato" and hwo to tie a cravat... what's your point?

  • boris is a legend

  • @MrRosstifarian

    understatment :)

  • *Mayoral

  • That's why he's so dangerous, Enigma. Never forget that he was not only a Bullingdon Club member but also its leader. Remember what they stand for. Then look at all the people with criminal backgrounds he's given senior positions in the Mayorla office. Scary.

  • A brilliant man pretending to be a buffoon. Unlike the Labour Party Criminals who are the opposite.

  • thats it exactly.

  • boris is funny

  • No matter what he's doing, Boris Johnson is the only politician who I can look at and say "Ah, bless..." with a fond smile.

  • because we feel sorry for him. like a family with a retarded child

  • why? Boris went to oxford

  • Oh golly...when they got to the coconut bit, I had a mouth full of lemonade...my laptop very nearly got a dousing! Absolute brilliance from Paul and Ian, as always - and add Boris into the mix, and you've got a programme made in heaven... (well, not literally, perhaps...).

  • This is the uncut version you twit.

  • u seem to no wat ur talking about - do u no any firemen who read the guardian? just wondering?

  • Why was this on for one hour, was it a special or something?

  • They always record an hour of material, then cut it down for TV.

  • Actually, even this has been edited. The recordings normally take over two hours.

  • they actually record several hours, but then cut it down to one or half an hour depending whether its on bbc one on friday or bbc two on the saturday after

the longer one is called have i got a bit more news for you

theyre both on iplayer for this week

  • The broadcast edition was 30 mins as usual. This extended version was a special feature on one of the HIGNFY DVDs.

  • "Give that man a kick in the nuts!"

I love that Paul went along with Boris changing it to "coconut," then skewered him for it anyway.

  • BORIS FOR PM!

  • I love him on this.

He was brilliant on Who Do You Think You Are as well. Check it out if you can.

  • Boris should be the next leader of our country.

  • boris should be the next leader of the world

  • I love Boris !! He's great fun and I'm surely happy not to have him as mayor or any political job... For me, he's only a sweet little thing from abroad not a risk for the whole country ! hihihi

  • Your missing out across the channel then.

    =D

  • come on no-one can hate boris!!

  • Boris is boss

  • hope it stays that way

  • I love boris.

  • Hear, hear!

  • Boris is quite awesome here. (:

  • did anyone see boris having a "dawn french vicar of dibley moment" when he was cleaning up a river?

  • is Boris a real politician, or is he a comedian, like that Borat guy?...I've never seen him b4

  • He's the Mayor of London!

  • ...I thought that the London Mayor was that sleazy guy that's been on this show b4...Jeffery something...maybe Australian..writes spy books??? how long do you get as a mayor in England?

so this Boris guy is for real??....fuck, he totally seams like a comedian?....how is he as a Mayor??

  • search for him on Wiki and all will be explained. I think you might be thinking of Jeffery Archer- a former mp-look him up as well

  • hes not a bad mayor at all. hes probably the equivalent of arnold schwarzenegger as mayor of California, although Boris is primarily a politician.. this show basically got him into the position as mayor, showing he had a sense of humour.

  • Jeffrey Archer was not a Mayor of London - he did run in the election but withdrew.

    And Boris went to Oxford.

  • Right, I always mix those two up (Archer and Ken Livingston). No idea why, because they are nothing alike.

And I mix up Cambridge and Oxford as well. Though there's not so much difference there.

  • @markus1357

You missed out the word "astonishingly" between " Boris" and "went".

  • Jeffrey Archer was the Tory candidate until convicted of perjury and chucked into jail

  • Andromidius is an example of someone who wanted to go to a good university/private school, but wasn't/isn't smart enough to get in, and using "money" as a cover.

If you can't join them, make fun of them.

  • @1337ASM Okay, and this personal slur was for what reason? Me thinks someone has an inferiority complex. Go and make something of yourself, be productive, and stop insulting people you don't even know over the internet. Its not big, its not clever, and whatever joy you get out of it is ultimately self defeating and hollow. Have a nice day.

  • @andromidius

    lol

  • @1337ASM

Exactly. I hate all this classist nonsense - if you went to a good school you're automatically a toff, if you don't speak like a cretin you're posh etcetera etcetera...as cuntish as it is to say it really is the doctrine of jealousy, vast majority of people who castigate others for their success are just envious! Being born in to a wealthy family is not something you choose, much like being born poor.

  • @Pepotamo1985 Hear, Hear

  • @andromidius

Boris actualy WON scholarships to Eton and Balliol, Oxford--even though Dad Stanley and Mum are pretty well-heeled and influential. As an Eton Kings scholar he would be among the top 5% of boys sitting the common entrance exam and as a Brackenbury Scholar, probably the same--although Classics is hardly a useful skill nowadays. He has a brother also an MP and his Pa is an MEP.

At Eton he was a classmate of the current Thai Prime Minister!!

  • @andromidius On the subject of Jeffery Archer I went to Wellington school the same as he did and then lied and said he went elsewhere to be fair to him it is a terrible school

  • u cant compare schwarznegger to boris johnson...johnson is intelligent he has a degree and he actually does great things for london ilke the clean up, unemployment schemes, cycle lanes, the cut for hybrid cars and ensuring transport is betterd

  • Boris may act the buffoon, but in a very awesome way.

  • So...I now meet the opposition to Amendment XXVIII...

  • aaah, clive and boris on one show. it can't get much better than this! legendary. ♥

"a piece of advice from the foreign office" lmfao!

  • stephen k amos is the most unfunniest man on the planet

  • Agreed

  • "You're promising something you can't deliver which is what you accused the Labour Party of!!!!

    Stunningly funny

  • Cliiiive! I didn't even know he was on this episode when I decided to watch it ^___^

oh what a pleasant surprise xD

  • If you have happened upon this video and like what you see, do stick with it, it may be the funniest thing I have ever seen.

  • Ahh, Boris xD

Paul works really well with him, he picks up on little things Boris says and makes them even funnier, like the coconut comment.

  • "Give the man a coconut."

  • from part 4 through to part 6 had my in stitches!!! i literately could not stop laughing, had to take deep breathes but then i'll just laugh again! boris is a brilliant host!

  • Boris Johnson must be the greatest politician for a long time since Winston Churchill!

  • I hope you're being sarcastic! As one is a bumbling baffoon and the other was a drunken idiot who caused the deaths of thousands of anzacs and turned against his own miners! Scum is the word I'd use to describe him....

  • what did boris do that people got on him about?

im an american but i like british shows like hignfy, qi and mock the week and they all rip on him but i dont know what he did

  • He hasn't really done anything that bad, it's just because he is seen as a bit of a joke by some.

  • search in wikipedia

  • Comment removed

  • I'm an American as well, and mystified as well, but as far as I can suss out, it's just because he's really good at television -- he's bumbling and has crazy hair

  • i LOOOOOOVE Boris :D:D he speaks the truth..and funny about it lol

  • I love Ian Hislop's comment on that he's so "innately funny."

  • I do love me some Clive Anderson. :)

  • Agreed, they need to get him on as host sometime.

  • I know I'll get loads of thumbs down too. But I do agree. He is funny, but that is no reason to vote him mayor of London. He's funny because he's all over the place (I realise he isn't thick though.) That is no qualification.

  • thank god some common sense!!!!

he is extremely funny but who the hell would want him as mayor?

  • Because underneath the foppish exterior is a rather intelligent man. People shouldn't underestimate him.

  • That is wierd - the person above you got 6 thumbs down and you got 6 up :S

  • Yeah, Youtube isn't always logical.

  • Yep, the ammount of people who get inebriated then randomly comment doesn't help too much either.

  • ahh gota love this show!

  • "We will be supplying coconuts within a reasonable delay"

    God that bloke is funny.

  • Thanks very much for all the HIGNFY episodes :) Especially Boris ones.
