If u cant hit 180 in a mustang with a turbo in it thats ur own fault ive taken my dads focus and for shits and grins hammered. It to about 147 soooo fuck u ur just mad cause ford prooved that the mustang can still hang with the camaro ^_^

Lets be real, any mustang thats going 180+ needs about 600+ hp and tunes. The stock gt 500 only hits 160 without govenor. I read a super snake with 700+ hp hit 192.7 mph. Im thinking at this rate, mustangs will need 1000 hp to go 200+. Massive power, low speed. Now how does that happen? Forget a drag race, americans want speed now.

Its totally possible. I have a vortech setup on my 07 and have hit 181. Thats as fast as she'll go though. That was hitting rev limiter in fifth gear with 4:10's and stock 18 in wheels/tires.

@afwunn I'm sorry, but I have a turbo 05 mustang with 4.10's and there is no way it would hit 180 mph at the top of 5th. I've never topped it out but 4th will get 125ish so I would think 5th would probably be 155-160 at the very most. Now with the stock 3.55's I could see 180ish. This is why I'm going with 3.31's on my new build. Mostly so I know I'll be fine running the 1/4 without having to shift into 5th. I'll probably be 140+ in the 1/4.

@probercr93 Well, the GPS said 182, but the math with the 5th gear ratio, the rear end ratio, and wheel/tire size, at rev limiter, put it at 181.66 Mph. Dont know what else I can tell ya bud.

Some people know nothing about runways. Airport runways can be upto 13000ft or longer depending on the airport, a runway can be close to 3 miles long, it isn't some dead end street behind your house. Also, you can clearly see in the beginning of the vid that the camera is being zoomed out as the car gets closer and zoomed in after it passes. If aimed straight ahead waiting for the car to pass by you wouldn't even see it pass by all you would see is a black blur.

this is actually the right speed. i saw this on a show and it actually is going 180mph. its a airport place it may look slow but the stripes are really longer than normal road stripes. to the people think it aint 180mph your stupid (:

i think its because the camera is moving with the car. if it was sitting still and the car flew by it would probably look like it was goin a lot faster

youre right man thats not 180 lol...maybe 100...the rpm seems to be high but still...i don't think it's 180...fastest i went was 182 on a 1000rr and i've seen em fly by 180 but not this tang...i may be wrong tho...since the car is a bigger object and the video may be slower than the sound...you never know...

well, since its on an airport runway, if you know how long each stripe on the runway is, then you could figure out the fps, and thus the mph. Go for it, if you feel compelled to prove a point.

Limiter max's out at 155mph, give or take 5mph. when pro-charged and tuned/geared. he prolly could of gone alot more. it is what ever they have limited that engine todo.
