I once was fishing in the Hillsborough river in Florida. A biker club was having a little get together. Apparently one of their members was a helicopter pilot for the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Dept. Some how, he had gotten authorization to show the bird off at the get together. He came down to about 50 feet, and sat there and hovered over the river. It was quite an amazing expierence, with the downwash hitting the river and all.
And after what I've heard the reason for using rotorblades instead of fenestrons, is the size and weight of the machine. Fenestrons doesn't give the power needed to fully control the EC-145
great video!

The major difference would be te tail rotor...EC 135 has turbofan (ribs) , and the EC 145 has rotorblades
ildfrozt 3 years ago
when you say turbo fan... you mean "fenestron" (enclosed tail rotor) and yes the ec145 is bigger with a standard tail rotor!

Thats a EC 145, it is larger then the EC 135.
But it is right that it is LN-OOM.
It is only one EC 145 in the NLA's fleet
