Total of 6,616 women fell victim to repression across BANGLADESH last year, says the report. Of them, 1,014 were victims of stalking, 96 were killed after rape and 38 died after being set on fire.

81 were acid burnt while two of them died following the attacks.

800 women were raped, of whom 165 gang raped, as per the report.

330 killed for not giving dowry. 55 child maids died due to torture. 68 tortured in the name of fatwa (religious edict). 75 victim to child marriage.

no culturally not but peoples life style has differences.bengalees are much more modest than indians i guess and then bengalee speaking(both hindu and muslims) are much more conservativer than non bengaly  speaking.but modern day india is much more dirty(film and entertainment) than bangladesh bcz bangladesh is predominanlyor absolutely) muslims.But at the end banglladesh is in great social mess.

In my country by monetary standards I am considered lower middle class and have been in the poverty as well.....and my poverty is so much more than what I see these people have. I cannot fully understand what they go through but I do know one thing they are probably 100 times stronger than I would be prepared to be in some of the living circumstances.
