Hi Tammy! Thank you for the kind words - We did so much in 2.5 days and all the teachers really worked hard. I'm pleased to learn that you're pursuing your Orff training. It will be life-changing!
Yeah...happy to see this up. This is Tammy (the one in black sitting to your right). Thanks Kalani for a great workshop! I was inspired this weekend to learn more about Orff and am, now, in the process of applying for a grant to go to the 2012 AOSA Professional Development Conference in St. Louis, MO next summer. It was an amazing experience working with you and the other teachers from around the state. :)
@TheBailio : Great question. Actually this is not a drum circle, but a collection of traditional music from various cultures - some of which do a fair amount of drumming within their musical traditions. A drum circle is a jam session, where people make up their own rhythms and play together for fun and recreation.
Thanks for your answer. But I meant a little different thing. Sorry for my english - I'm from Russia and don't speak english good enough. I asked are those people on this video the same ones who visit your drumcircles? I just wonder if you suggested them to make this little performance, or did you find people special for it?
Very Nice... Great performance.
