Even though it's a bit dated, I love this video. Great Whites and other sharks are a valuable asset to South Africa. They certainly help the tourist industry. I'm saving up to go myself! I want to get right inside one of those cages and feel how cold the water is. I want to be in the cage while he's biting at it, because I could check him out better while he's close. I want to touch his sand paper like skin. I want to see one swimming straight at me while I'm protected by the cage! Yes!

Blame the shark fin eater aka the fcking chinese as usually. Also here in California great whites are protect which mean the average adults weigh over 1 tons. There was a year however in cal when one hundred great white were hunt by orcas which only eat the livers. freaky if u ask me

sharks in real life, well, a fishing trip in San Fran taught me that without all that editing and lighting provided by an underwater camera, they're just swimming blobs in the water.

100.000.000 sharks killed per year is only an official number. many scientists say the real number is rahther 200.000.000. since 1980 over 85% of shark populations have been killed off. despite great whites are protected in some countries, they travel to places where they arent and a nearly all the other species of shark are not protected.

There are 80-120 shark bites a year with 3-4 deaths but there are 100 million sharks slaughtered per year, slightly disproportionate numbers. Most of the time sharks are killed for trophy hunting not for eating, if they are hunted for eating it's the fins only, unlike pigs or cows where everything is used. Sharks are endangered species cows and pigs aren't. That whale boat has been operating for 17 years it hasn't been capsized once.

Dude. You don't understand sharks at all. Great whites don't even see us as prey. You can see a cow and pig anyday, but sharks aren't always seen. Especially Great White Sharks. besides, if you didn't know, there are few fatalities than shark attacks on humans.
