for people having troubles try using "CyberDuck" (mac)

type your IP address as usual

for the user name put "root"

for the password put "alpine"

and in the drop down menu beside the foraward/ back button make sure its set to "SSH" then connect

@channo786 1. There is no 3g touch its called late 2009!

The 8gb model isnt new its the same as the 2g only 32 and 64 are new! so 8gb has to work

2.jailbreak is a must have! you can get themes and all kinds of other free stuff and its all legal so you have to jailbreak!!! ( pm me for a tutorial ill guide you trough!)

3.that doesnt care if ur jailbroken

4.there a few pdf reader apps i like filer its reading all documents! (you just can get it over jailbreaking!!)

Positive: With Cydia (the app that you get when you jailbreak) you can get awesome stuff the app store would never release: GameBoyAdvance emulators (I believe almost all games are released now including games that are extremely hard to get for your Gba any way) Snes emulators Gbc emulators custom backgrounds cheats, all apps in the app store for free (via installous) and MUCH, MUCH more.And yes, you can easily restore a jailbroken device.

Negative:It damages the internal drives, makes the device crash sometimes (never happened to me, and I have a the original iPod, but it has *seamingly* happened to other people) And, a very important thing: The device COULD break down during the jailbreaking process, this though is easy to fix. And btw, yes, you can easily jailbreak you device using quickpwn Pwnage tool or redsn0w (I preffer redsn0w, used it today actually (: )
